Back to the title of the thread, please take the Texans and dump them in your snow. They are no good to us.

Fatherfoof, with all do respect, "there is always next year, or the next year"etc like sniperjoe said. :D Plus, in my opinion, the Texans played well last year. 8-8 and for a 3rd year coach if I am not mistaken was a backup quarterback for John Elway is not to shabby if you ask me. Just look what the cardinals did last year. :wall:

You ever get a disgust and just never be able to lose it? About 3 or 4 yrs ago the Rangers (Dallas) had a gay pride night. Even though everybody is new, I still can't stomach any pro sports teams from Dallas. I'm damnably judgemental, but it's better than backing down to a fag just because he's in your face screaming how proud he is.

Yeah, every year we hear the same thing...the Bears are going to go all the way, but it is usually all the way home after week 16.

Maybe, if only they can protect the pocket, the Texans will have a decent year. At least they've been shoring up the def. during trades. What a novel idea!!!.

If Dallas can protect the QB and keep the pop singers away THEY could have a good year.

Saints are going to win it all. No question our boys are looking great this year and are going to tear apart anyone in there way. (It's nice living in my own world. Everyone knows me here.) What we lose in the pro's we more than make up for in college. GREUX TIGERS

Ge a blast from the past. Yep the Bears kicked their ass's and that was with Grossman, arguably one of the worst QBs the Bears EVER had.

Now we actually for the first time in decades we have a Franchise QB. should be a fun year.

Tony Dungy is one of the best football minds in the game. He has been saying for weeks that Cutler does not have what it takes. I am sure there are a bunch of head coaches developing their game plan to use against the Bears this year...stop the run, and put Pressure on Cutler. He looked just like Rex Grossman last night.

Well Dallas looked good except for the penalties. That was pathetic.

When anyone else looks at Cutler do they see the kid on Two and Half men all grown up? Plays like it is him slow and goofy.

If Miami could keep the other teams from scoring, they would probably be 5-0. The wildcat is an awesome tool with the players they have available. They are going to give a lot of good teams trouble this year.

Man did the local radio media blast the Bears last night. They kept playing the audio of each one of Cutler's interceptions over and over. These guys used to be the Bears staunchest supporters, but now they sound like a lynch mob.

Congratulations to the Colts for being the first NFL team to clinch home field advantage throughout the playoffs. :D :D :D .

Also see my post on page 6 regarding my prediction from August about the Bears. Even if Cutler was what they thought he would be, and he's not, they have no receivers for him to throw to. .Jerry Angelo is the worst general manager in the NFL. He should be placed in handcuffs, shocked repeatedly with a taser, and then fired. He gave a guy with 22 interceptions a 2 year 40 million dollar extension.

Sorry Jay...maybe next year...but I doubt it. There will never be a player like Walter Payton again, and even if there was, Angelo would miss him in the draft.

I would not exactly say the jets beat the Colts. The jets won a game that featured the Colts second string offense and defense for the last 20 minutes of the game. The jets got a gift, and you got a really nice birthday gift. Trust me when I tell you, the Colts would have won that game if there was anything for them to play for.

Poor Dolphins.... They couldn't go on the same December run they did last year. I guess that really the difference between just a couple injuries and half the starters... Henne is looking legit though. I'm excited to see what he brings next year after a full off season as the starter. They really just need a big play WR on offense. The D needs a fresh NT and some better LB depth for the future. Also pray that our rookies corners end up being good instead of giving up big plays all the time.

Now we will see if the Cowboys can win a playoff game without Aikman, Smith and Irvin. :ponder:

Well I guess that curse is lifted for Dallas. Now to see what they can do against the Old Man and AD. The Dallas defense played outstanding. If they play that way it will be a long All Day for the Vikings.

It looks like any team can win any game this week. All of the teams that won (even AZ) played dominant. I really expect the AFC top seeds to both win. Though I would love to see the colts be 1 and done to prove they were wrong about throwing an undefeated season.

On the NFC side.. I dont know. I would be surprised with any of the 4 teams moving on.

The Colts were never going to go undefeated anyhow. Even if they had won the 15th game, they would have never left the starters in at Buffalo with the snow on the field. After seeing the injuries to Welker and Bouldin, maybe they were smarter than we think. I firmly believe that Welker's injury cost the Patriots a chance to move forward in the playoffs. He got hurt in a meaningless game on a non contact play.

And the only time the Colts have done ANYTHING in the playoffs is the year they had to play in week 17 and didnt have a bye. There is no science to knowing what the right call is. But I firmly believe some teams have trouble picking the pace back up and the colts are one of them.

Bradey got hurt on like play 3 last year... There is no way to know if you will be hurt in pre season or the superbowl. You just have to play. Besides the colts had a chance to make history. To be the best ever. If they dont even want to be great then they deserve to be 1 and done.

I have no idea who won the super bowl in 1983. But I know who won it in 1973...

Well I guess the Colts have now done SOMETHING in the playoffs. Their strategy seems to have worked so far. They came out sharp and ready to play.

Colts- can't get over the night they snuck out of Baltimore. Manning was great as a Vol, but can't forgive him hooking up with those who abandoned their post...

That was the previous generation of Ersay. The current generation is an entirely different breed. Jim Ersay has excellent core values, and expects his team to have the same. I think you would appreciate the Christian values that go along with the current regime. :)

Keymaster
I will definitely admit that the colts surprised me as sharp as they played. I do think they can take care of the jets unless the NY mob kidnaps Adam Vinatieri's family like they have done 2 weeks in a row now. I'll keep my fingers crossed for the colts as I have no love for jets since I'm a phins guy. Ont he other side I would like to see Favre stick it to the packers. A Manning Favre bowl would have great potential. I dont think the game would be as good as Favre, Elway but that game would be hard to top. If its even close to that I would be happy.

I expect it to be a close game. The Jets showed me a lot last week. I am not sure if they can overcome the "JETS lag" from the travel, and having to play a day later than the Colts. I will be at the game on Sunday and look forward to an entertaining game.

No I refuse!

L-O-S-E LOSE LOSE LOSE

The jets games look like they can beat anyone just because of the way the games unfold. Dont get me wrong I'll take whatever gets the win for my team. Sometimes its better to be lucky then good. Ask the Raiders about the tuck rule. They would have taken luck that night.

The jets have played well though. We'll see what happens.

In truth the Steelers are out, the Cowboys are out, the Patriots are out. I'm ok with just about any other team winning one. I'd rather it not be from the AFC east but we'll see. Every year miami gets knocked off i route for the chargers. So now that I have no horse in the race i suppose I dont care as much. But thats not gonna change how I feel about the Jets. At least we beat em twice this year.... :guns:

Thanks Joe! It was pretty much what I expected in the first half. I was a little surprised that the Jets did not score in the second half. I really expected it to be a 3 point game one way or the other. Well one more game to go, we will see what happens. Thanks again for the kind words...that is real class on your part. :thumb: :thumb:

Naw, got to draw the line somewhere. I can't afford the tix as i just bought a PS90, and the MSAR STG 556. Gotta be ready for the Apocalypse. Also, my wife won't fly, so that kinda takes Florida out of the equation. HOWEVER, the Superbowl is supposed to be in Indy the year after next. Only one problem...that is the strike year, so who knows.

Funny you should mention the green in the stands...we had a pair of REALLY crazy Jets fans sitting next to us. The guy next to us must have sold his playoff tickets. They kinda calmed down in the second half though.

Since the Colts snuck out of Baltimore 3am without telling a soul, I have despised them. I was a typical guy who loved New Orleans until Nagin cussed out Whitie and insisted on his creating "a chocolate city." Well that would certainly exclude me and about everybody else here. I'll just watch, hoping to see some good football without giving a Pelosi who wins.

Yeah, and now we have to deal with the 2010 uncapped year, and a whole bunch of new rules that go along with an uncapped year. Have fun sorting that out.
