I have in the past seen allot of junk with pro-mag stamped on the side.

THey have a great warranty. No questions asked exchange policy if your mag is defective!!!!

perhaps that is just an FN 20rd mag, with a promag 10rd extension. never seen it before either...

I didn't want to get that direct but they are junk. I have never had one of their 1911 magazines work reliably and their Mini-14 magazines failures are legend.

So it looks like the answer to the original question is "no, no one on here has tried the new Pro-Mag FNH type 5.7x28mm magazine".

Sounds like there is much disdain for their previously produced pistol magazines.

I purchased a few of the ProMag 30rd magazines a couple of weeks ago through an online retailer. Upon receiving them I made a trip to my local range to try them out. I experienced a FAILURE TO FEED on the first 20 or so rounds in the magazine every time. I gave up after going through 150rds of SS197.

Anyway, I requested a refund and will be shipping these back to the retailer this week.

Might just be a weak spring, which could possibly be fixed with EAs replacement springs? Just a thought.

I just bought a five-seven and was given a Promag 30 as a freebie.

I've only used it once and was in a super hurry to just fire off some rounds so I quickly loaded about 20-25 rounds in it and fire them all off w/o a hitch.

At first I thought it was a factory 20 round mag but it's Promag's own magazine mold.

It mimics all the curves and profile shape of the factory mag but there are some different places on the mag where you can see molding marks that differ.

The part of the clip that extends out the bottom of the normal grip is perfectly copied / licensed pattern to match the factory pistol grip.

If I didn't have an OD Green Five-Seven it would blend seemlessly and you would think it's factory made.

Sportsman's Guide has these on sale for $39.97 right now.

Don't think I'll get one, though. My current extensions are holding up just fine.

Could you post a link? Or, where on their website did you see these? I buy from Sportsman's all the time, and I've never seen them. But I'm probably just blind, and skipped over them. Thanks.

EDIT: Nevermind. I just found them on the website. It's good to know that another company is producing accessories for the FsN, even if it sounds like they are poor quality, and are 3X as much money as the CMMG extensions...

i thought i had posted already but i guess i forgot to. but this sounds like a sales ad to me. "promag works for me..." type of post. may be wrong but that's what i got from it.

saw those at the Gun Show in my area this weekend. Everyone had those, no one had the CMMG mag extensions,

The price was about what foos said sportsman has em for, ~40

Hey guys,

I just received one of these from Sportsman's, since I have to try all the new stuff. I gotta say, I'm not impressed.

It's the first mag for the FsN I've seen that's not produced by FN, and it shows. There are little plastic tags from the molding process all over, and, more importantly to me, it doesn't fit nearly as well into the FsN. The FN mags slide in smoothly and pop out on release, while the Promag "grinds" while being pushed into the receiver, and, on release, just slides out about 1/2", since it's so rough coming out.

Haven't shot with it yet, but I'm thinking I'll just use it for plinking. If I really want to carry with a 30-rounder, I'm going to stick with an FN mag with a CMMG extension.

I got the mag this morning, and then had to leave for work. But I'll try to get some pics on here tonight. I will say that the mag, especially the extension part, does look nice- except for all the plastic molding tags, which probably won't show up on pics. But I'll get some up.
