1500-2000 FPS Loads

Hi all,

I am a new member and this is my first post. Before you think this is "JUST" another load question, this 1 has a bit of a twist.

So I am in Australia and as soon as I heard about the release of the Ruger 57, i ordered one (yes, Aussies are allowed guns, if you have questions feel free to ask). The FN has always been out of my price range, but the Ruger is just right.

So I am going to have to wait bout 6 months minimum to receive the Ruger, I am sure the US market gets first dibs. So in the mean time I will try and research what load data I can find.

I was wondering if anyone has any good loads between the 1500-2000 FPS, the twist is that our powder selections are very limited. Winchester has stopped importing powder and here in the West, we can only purchase AD I powder (hodgdons).

So would anyone have a load for that FPS range with the following powder which I have:

Universal (AD I AP70N)
Blue dot,
Green dot,
231,
296,
Power pistol,
Vit N340
Vit N310
Vit 3N38
CFE Pistol

I hope someone may be able to help.

6 gr of blue dot with a 40 GR gives me about 1700 fps

I always use the same OAL for my loads, 1.585" - unless the bullet is too short (i.e. Hornady 45gr HP/BEE)
