Is this better than ... In The Red targets?

That's a good question Blue. Buffman - we should get together and blow some stuff up side by side.

The explosion in this video at 1:43 is only 4oz of In The Red.

This one is a full pound (at the 2:54 mark) but the shot was taken at 500 yards. I didn't get to feel the pressure wave from that distance, but it was still loud as hell.

It's difficult to tell on video, but the 4oz of In The Red seemed to create almost as big a boom as 2lbs of the H2 product.

Your 4oz does sound loud. Sounds louder than the 1lb from the close up. maybe I'll buy some in the red, and some other brands and do a sound comparison test.

Just found this. Here's a guy who blows up 250lbs of In The Red targets.

I'd rather have more booms than bigger booms.

Set up a series of booms & work down the line with a full auto. THAT sounds like fun :thumb:

Just imagine how loud that would have been inside even the thinnest of plastic/cardboard containers..

I agree. Think about how busy 250lbs of this stuff would keep someone with some imagination.

I can see the gummy bear devastation now, bwahaha...

Gummy bears? We did a quart ziplock bag of paintballs on tannerite, didn't see anything except flying dirt. Gummies would probably be about the same. Unless you used one of those 8lb gummies?

Actually, there used to be a 15lb (or somewhere in that range) gummy bear. The thing was HUGE, but it was expensive. Like over $100 expensive. If I ever fond one again, I'll probably buy it - for future video use.

I still have a few pounds of the In The Red Targets left over. I need to come up with a good target for that stuff. If I only had a hot girl who was willing to dress up in a pair of Daisy Dukes to shoot at it. Things that make you go hmm...

Anything over 50lbs and you need a blasting permit or a onsite blast tech.. Otherwise ATF might not think too highly of you

250lbs would be cool, but at that amount you'd have to video tape it. :) :) But I certainly wouldn't put it in a dump truck, or be anywhere near a nuclear power plant like the MN guy did..

Here's another quick In The Red video. I don't think I weighed this bag before shooting it, but it couldn't have been too much more than the original video's 4oz. 8oz at most is my guess.

I have to admit that this one actually scared me - I did not expect the pressure wave that was created by such a small amount of explosive.

So, if you want to destroy your old microwave but want some carnage left over to photograph, 2lbs of tannerite is too much
Of course, it's about right if you want virtually no carnage left :P
I need to edit the video down again, I will post it when I get it figured out

Finally got the video working, only took 6 or 7 tries & two programs.

The power cord was the only thing left in the original spot.

There's a metal plate to the right but that was all that was left.
Found some insulation strewn about and a couple of small jagged pieces of metal from the housing but for the most part, it was gone.

I've always been partial to In The Red exploding targets.

The first 2 are only 4 oz targets. The third was from 500 yards and was a full pound of their powder.

I'm getting an error when I try to watch the video by the way. Man, judging by the pics, that's total destruction. Now I really want to see the video.
