9mmammo.com RIP OFF

Post by RainCity » 07 Mar 2013, 15:20

I recently ordered some of the 5.7x28mm 40gr FNH Hornady V-Max Blue SS197SR advertised on their site.

But they sent me SS195 LF Instead:

That seems pretty dishonest to me. I've tried contacting them via email, phone etc, but no response.

I have no use for SS195LF, it doesn't cycle properly for me and on occasion I get FF's. Plus, I didn't order it. This is my first time ordering from them and I am sure they did it intentionally.

That sucks, looks like shipping debt grabbed the wrong box.

What did they say when you called them?

Can you dispute the charge with your Credit Card company? As you faithfully tried to contact 9mmammo to let them know about the mix up

No answer. I've left messages in all of their departments. I even sent an email w/proof of receipt checked and no reply.

Since they don't carry ss195LF, I'm thinking scam.

I don't even know how old this ss195lf stuff is, but in the past I've had problems with it cycling in my p90.

It MIGHT be that their dealer shipped them the wrong ammo to start with & they just weren't smart/alert enough to catch it. They should still make good on it IMO but it might not be an outright scam.

I am also certain that you could sell it on gunbroker for a profit if they won't take it back. (Their website does say "We do not accept returns on ammunition.")

But does that rule stay in effect if the wrong product was shipped?

No idea. That's why I said "if" they won't take it back.

I will trade you 197SR for 195LF as both work for me in my FsN.

On Gunbroker, the 195 has been selling for more than the 197. I think what you have is worth more anyway. Sell it or trade it to dhpierre for some 197.

I'll find out what they say tomorrow and let you know.

From what I gather it is an issue of point of sale. The represented a product online, sent me an order, charged me and sent me a receipt with the product listed. Then they sent me the wrong stuff.

Damn, sorry I posted the link that they had the product in stock -, I would however resell it on GB or trade with dhpierre - I doubt they intentionally ripped you off, since SS197 is gone everywhere, they probably didn't even look at the box closely ( in the shipping department ) and sent what they had, either way, hope you get what you want.

Pierre is a good, honest guy.

I would trade the ammunition with him.
