FNP 357

Post by jhoser2000 » 12 Mar 2012, 07:23

I am curious as I see on the older shooters packs they say FNP 357/9/40. I did a quick search for a FNP 357 and it looks like they are few and far between if almost non existent, kinda like a mythical creature. I also see that you can buy a replacement barrel for them from EFK for about $130. I guess I am just curious the .357 Sig models are so rare.

its a round that no matter how well it does in ballistics that will never be overly popular.
.357 Sig and .40 were designed after the big Miami FBI shoot out in the late 80's. With the
.40 getting the contract, the .357 Sig was deligated to the shelf kind of lke 6.8 spc in the AR
world

Well after my search for another unique weapon caliber I finally found a FNP-357. I can not wait to go and shoot it tonight or tomorrow night, if weather permits. Thought I would share a picture of the collection.

UGH

freakin jealous. I love the .357SIG cartridge.

As do I. Kinda crazy, but I shoot it better and faster than any other pistol I own. (glock 32c)

+1. My first gun, Browning HP in .40, was later converted to .357. To bad about it's obscurity. Same with the 5.7.

It is a awesome little cartridge! I love it. I wish I wasn't so busy with work and other obligations that makes it hard for me to find the precious free time to shoot. I feel I have a great shooting collection right now and there is one more FN I want and that is a 45 Tac, but that will have to wait a bit.

Lazi, it was a hard and long search and I just got lucky one day and found it on gunbroker one day on a random search, since they are few and far between.
