Hornady LNL Bullet Feeder

Post by The Keymaster » 20 Jan 2011, 23:34

Gavin has FINALLY posted his first video on the Hornady LNL bullet feeder. Here is the link.

I like the way it works, but I have some concerns about safety. I use all 5 die stations because I use separate seating and crimping dies on my handgun ammo. I use the powder cop in station 3 just like he does. I am not sure what I am going to sacrifice. I really like having the powder cop, but having the ability to crimp with the Lee factory crimp die is really important too.

I think I am going to sacrifice the crimp, if it turns out I need a crimp, I will worry then. I have been waiting for some reviews before I bought one. Thanks for the post!

I have thought about modifying a dillon powder check to work with the hornady, but it's kind of pricey.

The case and bullet feeder are on my short list.

I drool over the video of it on Hornady's website daily.

With the powder cop die I think it is the best set-up you can get, and the price's are decent as well

Here is a less expensive way. A little less convenient, but a legitimate alternative.

As soon as hornady ships me my shell plate im going balls deep on this set up.

I called to get the shell plate and the new guy says he has an extra plate made and he would get it right out. That was like a month ago...

Funny you mention this...Santa brought me a Hornady progressive reloader and I immediately started eying the case feeder and the bullet feeder...let me know what you end up doing...will likely use it for pistol rounds too....
