Anyone try these??
How is the recoil on it compared to regular 230gr fmj ball ammo?

I have used a LOT of DT ammo in the past and it's good quality, very good consistancy and the power is unmatched in comparison to other "factory" ammunitions. That specific ammo I cannot account for however, as a brand, they are generally very good.

Re: high power .45auto ammo.
I have used DT for years when I did not have time to reload. I go back to when Mike only had 2 10mm loadings.
Lately DT's ammo has not been as powerful as before. Chrono has also confirmed this. I was a big fan of Mike's 200 XTP load. I still have some Blackbox sitting around somewhere if MO has not shot it all up. That 200gr was HOT and what you would expect of DT. Since around the time DT switched to the new White boxs all of his ammo has chronographed well below advertised speeds.
Again I have been a longtime fan of DT. This is not a my company is better then his. In fact we never planned on bringing 10mm to market. Not until I shot his latest loads and was very disappointed. I can link to many, many posts of mine on the 10mmtalk forum were I praised and recommended his ammo.

I can't anymore, it just does not perform as advertised.

There is current research by a trauma surgeon who is an ex-cop (in fact the most published traumasurgeon in North America) who is working on an immense amount of data which looks at round, organ struck, treatment, time until surgery, and several other factors. The initial data seems to indicate a slight lead for Gold Dot 200 Gr Plus P

Re: high power .45auto ammo.
I am of the opinion that the .45 round's advantage lies in large expanded diameters and massive amounts of tissue crushed. As long as the round has sufficient velocity to fully expand and penetrate, it is G2G. I think the last revision of the once dismally performing HST in 230gr standard pressure is about as good as it gets. When you have a 230gr chunk of lead almost an inch across once expanded traversing a thoracic cavity, 50-80fps extra really doesn't matter. No magical "shock" is created, and no further velocity is necessary for full expansion (it can actually hamper it, as was my experience with Ranger T in 357 SIG. It performs MUCH better in 9mm chamberings). All you are doing is accelerating wear on your weapon, creating more muzzle-flash, and hampering your 2nd and subsequent shots, if needed.
Obviously this argument cannot be used for other calibers, but the .45 is one of those that I feel it is very valid with regaurds to. No extra wounding mechanism appears at 1050fps vs. 950fps when we are discussing a properly designed JHP in .45ACP.
*The reason the 200gr GDHP is +p is because the standard pressure loading sucked. It failed to expand once clothing was encountered quite often. They pumped up the velocity to compensate. JMHO, but stick with 230gr. You bought a .45 for launching massive chunks of lead, don't take that away from yourself.
