Is it possible.....
Is it possible.....
That some of the full auto glocks accidentally got packed up as the "normal" ones at the factory & got shipped out, thus an unwitting, but very lucky gun-buyer could be in posession of a full auto glock? methinks it has happened :guns:

Re: Is it possible.....
no, seriously, a relative of mine bought a 9mm glock. One night, he calls me up & tells me to meet him at the range because He's got something cool to show me. I head up to the range & he puts a 30 rd mag. in the glock & hands it to me..tells me to fire off the clip. I think, fine...proceed to emty the clip with one pull of the trigger. he bought another one so that he could do some shooting, and tucked the full auto one into his safe.
he was involved in a serious industrial accident about20 years ago, and quite frankly, wouldn't have the brains to be able to "manipulate" any parts to get the weapon to fire full auto.
is this:
1) a factory fopaux(sp?)
2) a defective weapon
its been about 10 years since he originally purchased it, what are the chances that if it was (1) that it would have been discovered by now>
aside from full auto's being illegal in this state, what other risks does he run by simply hanging on to it & saying nothing

Regardless of the reason for the accident, legally speaking the weapon must be sent to Glock ASAP for repair or replacement, unless your uncle is a fan of BIG fines and prison time.
On a side note, Glock 18's are almost indistinguishable from a Glock 17, and are way too much fun.

Spray and pray would do u much good.... Maybe if u were really close in and the target was moving it might offer some advantage.
As per your "relative"....have u considered that maybe he bought it like that on purpose? Possibly from a shady dealer?

Re: Is it possible.....
Here's my take.
It can't be a factory Glock.
Why? Glock 18's have a VERY distinguishing SWITCH on the side. Ugly little critter. Left side. You'd see it. You'd ask, "WTF is this for?" even if you'd never seen a Glock before. If you added this to one http://www.fss-g.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; you'd ask the same question.
So. Either the weapon malfunctioned and Uncle Ed needs to get it fixed or replaced, or he purchased the weapon modified and is running a HUGE risk on owning it.
Now...here's where 'Fly's take' comes in.
There are SOME people who feel that this country is headed to Hell in a handbasket and honestly feel that one day we, the gun-totin', freedom loving, honest go goodness, God fearing, do gooder and hard working backbone of America will have to stand up and take back this country of ours. And when that day comes, it won't matter what iron we're packing cuz ALL of em will be considered illegal in the eyes of whatever tyrant is in office. So, they feel that whatever the risk, they need FA hotirons, and they'll break whatever laws they need to break to get them.
So be it for them. If they're willing to break those laws, I'm willing to salute them and honor them with a brand new set of shiny silver bracelets. That's my job. So if that is the case, I really don't want to know about it and this thread should end RIGHT HERE, RIGHT NOW.
If that's NOT the case, then by all means, let's get Uncle Ed to figure out who to send this Glock to so he can get it repaired or replaced. Because it seems that Glocks are one of the easiest damned pistols out there to make FA. And that, boys and girls, is a simple fact.
