No unless you strip it off and put a new coating on.

I can't go into it but some of the guys here on the forum have tried different coatings that have worked.

Anyone please correct me if I'm wrong, but it looks like reloading is limited to about 2-4 times based off of things I've read...

If you are reloading for the pistol only, the coating does not matter. The cases can be reloaded more than four times for the pistol. If you are shooting the rounds from a PS90 the coating is crucial. One round with damaged coating will clog up the whole 50 round mag. If you have several cases with damaged coating it is a real problem when loaded in the PS90. For the PS90 reloading more than once is problematic. For defensive ammo in the PS90 I would use only new factory made or EA pulled-reloaded ammo using unfired cases.

Really interesting. I understand what you said about the PS90 but why doesn't the coating matter for the pistol?

just think straight up cartridge pressure in mags vs. rotating, sliding, and stacking pressure for the PS90. ALOT more can go wrong there.
Never attribute to malice that which can be explained by stupidity.
The shooter will always matter more than the gear ever will.
Stop relying on others to do the work for you.

It does matter but only when your pushing the cartridge.

"why doesn't the coating matter for the pistol?"
klw,
A poor choice of words on my part. The coating on the case is important and is preferred over cases with damaged coatings when shooting the pistol. I was thinking of small sample of less than fifty cartridges that had damaged coatings. These cartridges would jam in the PS90 magazine but cycled and fired in a pistol.

Has anyone tried completely stripping the coating using solvent and tumbling, or combination of thereof, and then loading a standard load for pistol/FiveseveN?

Yes - again, use the search function. There are several threads about that. It still works but its better for your brass if you leave it on
