Interesting. Any significant difference in case capacity? Tested the new coating yet?

Capacity stays not only the same but constant. Factory brass is all over the damn place. 5% +/- sometimes.

Tested coating 5 years ago. It's way better then FN's and also a gloss so it doesn't make new brass look like shit.

Nice Jay! Are you going to sell virgin brass to us reloaders? Or only for your production runs?

I will sell virgin, primed, or un-primed and coated to anyone.

:thumb: That's great news Jay! I already check in occasionally and have been using your case gauge and trimmer plate for my reloading. Would love to have virgin coated brass to do my reloads with, and will follow progress closely now :D

Is your coating also more durable than FNs? The FN coating isn't exactly known for life span.

Taken care of even the factory coating will last the life of the brass

But yes our caoting will last longer but just like the factory coating the neck and shoulder area of the
brass is still the area that will fail first.

Target to have it in full production is November so shortly after that. Have to meet demand for our ammo before I can sell the brass.

? Never had a problem with the factory coating so long as it isn't left outside or in a rusty bucket full of commie steel.

I know you are excited to have your own brass in house. So if we get into another ammo crunch/shortage, will you be impacted as badly as the last go around? The market is just now recovering from it and still hasn't stabilized IMO. Also, what, if any, will be the impacts to your ammunition pricing?

No we won't even more so since my powder supply is keg directly from the manufacturer.

Yes not right away but within 6 months or so prices will come down as the volume sales go up.

Does this mean we are closer. Over thanksgiving weekend I went through almost 500 rounds letting family plink with the PS90. Now I am w ordering if I reload all that brass or wait for yours to become available!

It will still be a few months since I have to test the brass and I am sure issues will arise and manufacturing adjustments made.

Of course they will be coated and just like my brass is better and improved internally my coating is better than FNH's.

We are getting into weeks now.

GONRA is really anxious to purchase 1000 rds. of the EA brass when its available.
Is the "internal case volume" a little smaller than FN brass we're all used to?
If it is, will reduce my 2 Standard "True Blue" loads and verkup loading data for the New EA Brass.

In a recent coffee chat vid, I think he stated same capacity as normal 57 brass. I would also start to guess all the developed reload recipes will work... or is the dimensions being slightly different internally be an issue despite being the same capacity?

by panzermk2
You need to drop since my brass is much more consistent, has a stronger neck and shoulder. Factory FNH brass easily vary 5% internally. The firm making the dies to be used on the machine cut up FNH brass for base line data. They where amazed at just how poor QC and consistency of the brass was lacking.

Just completed a round of shooting production test samples.

No primer, neck/shoulder or case failure during entire test and pressures were taken well above 65k psi.

Not even the beginning of a gold ring inside.

Way the hell better than FN's.

That being said these cases where UN COATED maximise stress on the case.
