The reason I tried to do business with him is because I saw your good feedback Jay. I've bought a bunch-o-EA ammo and have always found you and Lisa to be a pleasure to deal with with regard to the quality of your products, your timely communication and delivery.

Maybe you got lucky and caught Josh on a good day, but those quotes I posted from him were over the course of a MONTH and taking a week to move is no excuse for his lack of communication and professional behavior!

He needs to take the time to fix this or at the very least, man up and answer his phone or return an email!!!!!! :furious: :furious: :furious:

I left positive feedback for Josh as well. We completed two transactions that overall were satisfactory. There were a couple pucker points in the first transaction but ultimately the items arrived as described.

I'm no one to judge reasons/excuses with why things are done in a manner I'd like them to be done. So the pucker points in our transaction I let them be. Given that I had two transactions that were okay I wouldn't rule him out. He _maybe_ the type of person who just doesn't stay on top of things and perhaps is surrounded in his life by similar people. Contrast that to someone who is on top of things and gets things done ASAP and a transaction may not be great for the one party and good for the other party. Not that I'm excusing the list of reasons/excuses listed at the beginning of this topic.

I understand your point about different personality types fd57, but there is a world of difference between someone who may wait a day or two to ship something or wait a day or two before returning a phone call... and someone who will let things drag on for a month.

It's also pretty suspect when he claims he sent the knife by mail with no tracking and it does not arrive. Then to make matters worse he claimed to have sent a money order for reimbursement via USPS (again no tracking) and it doesn't show up. The he claimed he forgot to put a stamp on it, and sent it again - and AGAIN it gets lost.

Let's now add in the issues that rickys2 had with him last year which were almost identical: claims that shipment was made via USPS but never arrived. warlokk08 even admitted to not holding up his end later on, claiming it was because he was having a rough time. Look at the excuses he gave me - more rough times?

No matter how you try to slice this - he still has shown that he is unresponsive, full of excuses and at the very best - stretches the truth (I'm trying to be nice here)!

Yeah, I am very organized, stay on top of things and always do what I say I am going to do while he may be somewhat, well, different... buttttt... There is simply no excuse for his behavior - it can NOT be justified. Period.

I'm going to keep updating this until it's resolved because I believe everyone should know what they are potentially getting themselves into when doing business with this guy.

I looked up his home number, called it and spoke with is mom. She knew nothing of this situation and when I asked if Josh had been sick and in the hospital, she seemed to know nothing about it. She said he would be home in the afternoon and she would speak to him for me.

After speaking with her and since it's been 8 days from the last communication I received from him, I got tired of being polite and after a few more unsuccessful calls to his cell, I sent a not-so-polite text which finally got this response:

Im sick with staph. My phone is not exactly a top priority when i'm sick with a severe case of staph. The m.o. was sent several days ago. Im going back to bed. I'll cancel the m.o. and send another w/ tracking when I get out. @
If he was really sick in bed with a serious illness - why would his mom have to wait until later when he got home to talk to him? I'm also pretty sure she'd know if he was sick.

Mail fraud - he has done this at least before twice. Once to Rickys2 and prior to that he did it to satellitedr3ams, whose thread was removed for some reason.

Add 2 more times to me, once for the knife and a second time for the money order, neither of which ever got here.

I don't know how many items I've sent items via USPS in my 48 years, but it must be in the hundreds if not more. NOTHING I have ever sent by mail has been lost. NOTHING. Of course anything of value/importance I send with a tracking number, and I don't kid myself that the post office is perfect, buttttt... Josh has "sent" a knife and then "sent" a money order to me that both got lost in a 3 week period. Apparently he also "sent" stuff to others that got lost. A lot of the stuff he sends via USPS seem to go missing.

Either Josh is the world's unluckiest post office user, his post office is actually a black hole - devouring all of his packages, or he's not really sending them. These are the only options I can see.

Hey, I suppose I could be wrong about him, but in my experience: if it walks like a duck and it talks like a duck... well you know the rest...

I tried doing business with him but he sold product to someone else because I didn't send funds one hour after he gave me an address to paypal. Umm, forgive me for being out to dinner with my family. He then posted that I was a deadbeat buyer. <shakes head>

guess I should count myself as lucky.

I've only had one experience with the USPS that didn't go well for me. I bought something from a friend and it was a rather expensive something. He wanted to ship UPS but since I lived in the sticks and he used pre-printed shipping labels, it wouldn't recognize my address. He ended up shipping via USPS with delivery confirmation, which is NOT the same as tracking.
What should have taken 4-5 days max from New York ended up taking SEVEN weeks. No idea why. We both figured it was lost forever. I knew he sent it because I trusted him and had known him forever but the first two weeks were stressful as heck. After the third week, we both gave up. When it finally showed up, we both were just dumbfounded. The date stamp showed the day he shipped it and my postmaster couldn't give me a clue where all it may have been, but we were just thrilled it finally made it.
Am I making an excuse for this guy?
Maybe if it was a one-time occurence. But how many members have had this happen how many times per transaction?

Re: warlokk08 - History Repeating Itself and WARNING!!!

Post by jgreenberg01 » 12 Mar 2011, 09:55

Ok, here's the scoop, and let this be a warning to everyone about warlokk08 aka Josh:

I just had a long discussion with his mom and his brother and they apologized profusely because not only has Josh NOT had pneumonia as he claimed, NOT had a staff infection, NOT been in the hospital and his daughter NOT been sick, but this guy has pulled this type of stuff before. They didn't seem to be surprised at as a matter of fact by this story.

His mom said that Josh may have to pay me back in installments because he doesn't have the money, but that he WILL pay.

I am supposed to speak with him and/or his dad when they get home later today and I will let you know what transpires.

In the mean time...

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THINKING TWICE BEFORE SENDING THIS GUY ANY MONEY!!!!!

Buddy I have never scammed ANYONE. Ricky got his 2 boxes of SS192, and I have never dealt with Satellite, period. And yes, I do have Staph, or I would not be staying at my mother's so she can take care of my 4 year old daughter, and I, myself, need help. The deal with Ricky was my lack of responsibility, and I sincerely apologized for it, and he got what he bought. I've had about 15 deals on here, and all went great besides 1 that was late and you. I cannot help being sick. You got your ammo back, a money order has been sent, and if you like, i'll cancel it now and send another with tracking. As I told you, I just put it in an envelope and gave it to the mailman. I didn't much like going to town w/ a 10lb. oxygen tank from pneumonia that put me in that pos hospital to begin with. If you want to reach me in the next 2 days text my cell. Noone will be home we're moving my junk to FL. Sorry about the inconvenience. If you want to keep posting negative feedback here that's fine. This site makes up about 1-2% of my knife sales.

Sincerely,
Josh

That was a really interesting post Josh. I spent 31 minutes speaking with your mom and brother yesterday, both of whom said that you DID NOT HAVE PNEUMONIA, WERE NOT IN THE HOSPITAL AND DO NOT HAVE STAPH and that you have done this before. She said, and I am quoting, that she "can tell when you are susceptible to this kind of behavior and as a parent she is very hurt by your actions." Your mom also said that you refused to speak with me and that she was going to try to get your dad to make you realize how serious this is.

I sent you your money via Western Union WITHIN THE HOUR that you requested it because you said you needed it. It's been a month now and all I get from you is excuses and lies - it is time to fix this... NOW.

I have every one of your texts & emails with your outrageous excuses saved, as well as receipts from Western Union showing that you took possession of my money. Can you prove that you were in the hospital as you claimed? Can you prove that you sent the money back? What will your dad say when I speak with him, will he confirm your claim that he mailed the knife?

I will be contacting the US Asst Attorney that I know in Alexandria, VA who will give me a contact at the TN Middle District US Attorney's office on Tuesday. Because this is an interstate issue, they will be interested.

And I don't want a money order - I want the money immediately via western union - the same method you used to steal my money. No more dropping it in the mail, forgetting to put a stamp on it, or whatever other BS you try to come up with!

Do the right thing Josh!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh, one more thing - since this site makes up 1-2% of your thriving business - I assume you are doing well. So why did your mom tell me that you have no money and that you will have to pay me in weekly $50 payments???

Sincerely,

Your "Buddy"

Edit: if you are really moving your junk to Florida - that's where I live. I will be happy to meet you anywhere here so you can do the right thing in person plus I would like to thank your mom for being so forthright about you (as well as to apologize to her for putting her in the middle of your mess). Just tell me when & where... :)

Wow! That really sucks. Damn. Having to discuss something with Mom & Dad  ? I must be way to old for this forum! If things are not right Man up!!!! Fix it!!!! You are only as good as your word! If you dont have that, well you arent worth spit. I would say that in the future doing a Western Union money order would be a very, very idea. That would have been a red flag. I hope all works out soon. You give people an amount of trust and then when it is broken its hard to trust another :wall: . I really hope it all works out for both parties involved. Good luck guys and gals

The item was a Microtech knife. As far as lightening it up: It's not even the money at this point - it's the principle. I hate being lied to, and you're also correct about trust. It will be a loooong time before I try to do business with an individual again, I'll stick with EA & A&A on here!

And FYI - Publix makes awesome chocolate croissants!!!

Sounds like Josh has some growing up to do, regardless of age. Hope it gets worked out. I will say I won't be buying or selling him anything in the near future.

BTW,
I call Publix publics. How are you supposed to say it? Love that store too. Used to drive to Gulf Breeze towards Pcola Beach from West Pcola just to shop there because the Winn Dixies were crap in FL.

Publix is pronounced "Publics" so you're saying it right. They have some awesome food - their bakery is really good, salads (in particular, the carrot/raisin salad) is also really good plus they have the freshest cuts of meats of all the "supermarkets". And FWIW, Winn-Dixie's rotisserie chicken and their rotisserie chicken salad is not so bad at all.

Back on topic - Josh finally contacted me via text and assured me that, while he is in the middle of moving, he intends to resolve this on Wednesday. I respect that he has finally responded and I will update this thread with any relevant information...
