This means all of Florida’s county sheriffs have now signed the pledge, the first state to achieve 100% compliance with the 2nd Amendment.

Well, they might say that an assault weapons ban, or a magazine capacity limit are constitutional. Then, it is a short stretch to say "assault weapons are banned, so we need to go get them." It sounds a little "wishy-washy" to me.

I'd like to see all the Sheriffs across the nation band together and say "we will not tolerate nor enforce any further infringements on the rights of our citizens to bear arms, including limits on magazine capacity or limits on ownership of so called assault weapons."

Now that would be cool.

MT has a bill that basically does that. It puts the Sheriffs in charge of all firearm law enforcement. In other words, the locally elected LEOs are taking responsibility for all gun laws. In MT that guarantees nothing will get confiscated.
