Jessie Duff on Fox News on Gun Bans - the AR15

Post by blueorison » 18 Jan 2013, 21:52

Jessie Duff is one of the few female shooters I respect. She is one of the few shooters I respect.

She's not a there to be a pretty face; she's the real deal.

(Thanks for doing that demo, Jessie.)

Articulate, intelligent, easy on the eye, and a great shot. Industry needs spokespeople like her.

(where do you think the third 9mm shot went?)

It went into the sign. If you look closely you'll see the hole in the 9mm sign. :)

Although the newscaster dude (S.H.) was just joshing her about accuracy (wtf? she wasn't even going for accuracy, there was no target, just a big board), it really does bother competitive shooters a little (a lot) if you joke about that, when they aren't going for accuracy, because she pushes herself really hard. He didn't know that, but I noticed it. She is too professional to indicate it in her speech, however. What she did do was aim more precisely for her subsequent demos. She didn't have to, but she is that professional.

She's very down-to-earth, so this interview might make her a little nervous. She's awesome like that; she doesn't think too highly of herself.

I wish she'd have had more time to go over the different types of firearms.
Unfortunately, I don't think 3 rounds into a target will convince any libs that they are wrong :(

Contrary to popular belief, you CAN fix stupid - it's just illegal.

You CAN'T convince Libs with logic or anything else. Once they get something in their head it is there until they die. You can't reason with them. You should just :wall:

Actually, if you think about it, it will. It probably took less than that to convince them of their current position. I was in politics for a long time, and that was one of the ugly truths that I hated. Most policy positions do not come from well researched data. They come from a single event or observation (Sandy Hook). On that same line of thought, MOST voters are swayed by a sign, a slogan, or an issue contained in two, eight words sentences. Those of us that research the issues are seriously in the minority.

A simple demonstration of a bare AR-15 with iron sights, then dress the same one up with light, laser, scope, foregrip, etc and try to do more damage would be pretty good.

Statistically you are more likely to be killed by a dog than by one of those so called "Assault Weapons" they want to ban.
