ss190 and ss193
I recently purchased a FiveseveN and am looking for a few clips full of defense ammo for the home and CC. I would like to get some AP rounds but everywhere I see it its retardedly expensive. Also I got a Gemtech can for it and am waiting for it to show up any day now. I would like a box or 2 of the subsonic stuff by FN and that too is awesomly expensive. Can anyone help me find some ammo that i dont have to sell my kidney for???
Re: ss190 and ss193
wait for ammo to come in stock. sb193 is not designed for fsn

Re: ss190 and ss193
They're called mags or magazines :p
We typically rib you for that around here
AP rounds are always expensive since they are not supposed to be sold to civilians - it's a voluntary restriction the companies place on themselves. Technically, it isn't illegal to sell it to civvies but most dealers don't want to risk upsetting the company (a.k.a. biting the hand that feeds them).
Normally, we'd probably send you to Elite Ammunition (banner top center) to find your ammo but they've been hit too & can't get the components to make their ammo. As such, they've had to pretty much close up shop for the most part.
As sad as it sounds, there isn't a whole lot we can do for you - unless you reload. Even then we probably can't get you the components but we can provide recipes & occasionally tell you who has what in stock. Just have to keep an eye out.

I hope you know SS190 really IS NOT what you want for self defense/CC. Just because it's expensive doesn't mean it's good. I could be a $1000 an hour escort but there will still be a lot of upset ladies.

He continues with the clip reference. :facepalm:jaybird16511 wrote:what do you suggest? all the shelves and online no one has any stock ammo. I would like to get something for a few clips so i can carry it but i cant find anything less $100-250 a box on gun broker.
If you can't find any at a local shop, or find a member here willing to sell you some without a scalping, I think GunBroker is about your only choice. I think the going rate is $1.25 to $1.50 a round for the SS197 blue tip and $2 and up for the other stuff. It is an unfortunate market we find ourselves in.
Not to feed the rumor mill, but I attended a gun show last weekend and heard someone asking about 5.7 ammo. The dealer behind the table said that the Secret Service had contracted with FN to buy all the ammo they could produce in that caliber for the next year. Who knows if there is any truth to it.

LOL I mean magazine. I do that cause im too lazy to type magazine. well it is unfortunate on gunbroker they are selling 500+ combos 650-2k in price. i have been to every store in 100 miles of my house, i got board one day, with no luck. so unless someone is willing to part with a red or blue box ill just have to wait 6-8 monthes till it comes back in stock. I would like to buy a brick but just dont have the mooola right now, not to mention they want 3 times the store price on GB. thanks for the help though

Sometimes I get board, too.
Then I have to take a cold shower.
Sometimes, I'm too lazy to even go shoot.
All of the above are probably not true.

Is getting board the same as getting wood?

Or having a wet towel draped over your face and water pored, er... I mean poured on it?

190 is not SD ammo, and in some states it is illegal to own. Wait for EA to get some ammo back in stock then buy from them.

Forceful hydration. It gets hot in the desert. A sergeant once told me, hydrate or die. So really, we're helping them stay healthy.jgreenberg01 wrote:Or having a wet towel draped over your face and water pored, er... I mean poured of it?

I have to agree with Pain.
The joke around my friends is that I always tell them, "don't forget to hydrate!" before I leave.
I don't get why they always laugh.
