I had a Glock 21 until today, traded it for this:
Always wanted one but they were something like $900 plus new when I was a kid which made me :skep: (I'd only pay that for something like my FsN which is new tec)
VERY nice gun this P1 and it's an '81 so it has the hex bolt

Nice
My P38 is an all number matching Walther made AC coded 1944 model. Small sights but a tack driver.

The P1 is a classic German police gun of the cold war period ( I had a 1982 Army issue one for a while)
If you need to know what the markings mean, I have Deiter Marshall's excellent Walther book.

It honestly doesn't have that many,my guy at the shop says it hasn't been shot all that much but it has been carried a lot.p99guy wrote:The P1 is a classic German police gun of the cold war period ( I had a 1982 Army issue one for a while)

Right now I have him looking for mags-it only came with one and oddly the mag is marked '59.
Right now I'm :monkey: over finally having one.
Re: Walter P1
Shoot it much? I grabbed mine since it's a newer one-I can shoot it without fear.panzermk2 wrote:Nice

Also carry it,yours I'd be a tad nervous.
Still very nice! :thumb:
Re: Walter P1
There was one at my shop, it also had a hefty tag on it. I was tempted to take it home though.

Re: Walter P1
The P1's aren't that bad, most seem to be under $400,so was mine but after I traded the Glock (which I shot the hell out of) I paid $47.70 for the P1jmz5 wrote:There was one at my shop, it also had a hefty tag on it. I was tempted to take it home though.

Guns like Ferrari's and Old Muscle Cars were put here by God to be used for their intended purpose. So YEP LOTS even has the original holster. It was removed from someone who did not need it anymore.

War guns are that way:ether they are procured like that or by use on their previous owners!
And good on you for shooting it! I don't mind taking a little extra care of an old gun but just locking it in a case seems wrong :thumb:
