I'm really looking for a full size 1911, I have a wart hog 1911 already. I can carry a full size, I carry my EAA witness match often. Thanks for the suggestion though, I would like to hear more as well :)

Seems to me it is, that's a whole lotta cheaper than 1200 new for a non-one-off Custom Shop.

Might wanna inquire as to round count, but otherwise, yea.

I recommend Dan Wesson.

I don't care for the price point/value of other 1911's. The higher end's are nice, but pointless; for the price, I'd have one made from a stock gun.

If you ever buy all the parts, then fit and assemble one from an Essex frame, those thousand dollar 1911s start to look like a good deal. :D

It's a lot of fun and a lot of time.

Is there anything different between when they used to have custom shop on the slide and the new ones? are they now down graded?

You can't do that for less than what they are selling Custom Shops. I have tried.

I cannot understate the value of a Custom Shop gun from Kimber. They shoot like a 1911 twice their price. Literally.

Yes. No comparison. A custom shop gun is hand tuned individually.

Eclipse or raptor? Both custom shop, which would you want? I hate when I start thinking about my next gun, I always end up upselling myself lol.

+1 on the Raptor. I love mine (although it's an Ultra model, many don't like such short barrels). I'm looking for another Custom Shop gun, Pro or Custom this time around. I don't think the Target line comes from the Custom Shop. It would be nice for a Custom Shop 10mm Kimber to come along.

I think the Raptor looks the best. If you get the Grand Raptor, you have adjustable match grade sights. SWEEEET!

Great gun, my buddy bought that model after he shot my Grand Raptor. He liked the all stainless over the two tone. Not a terrible price. You might find it for cheaper if you shop around.

When you click the "custom shop" tab it is not listed there, that is why I thought it was no longer a custom shop item.

You can get the same adjustable sights on the Eclipse Target,

Yeah, that link is messed up a bit. It also doesn't show the Super Carry line which is custom shop as well.

I know 100% that it is a custom shop gun.
