Does anyone know what happened to the F2000 Tactical's folding foregrip? Best I can tell, this was standard on all F2000s up through 2009, then it just disappeared from the FN literature and most pictures. However, you can actually still see it on FN's current web page for the F2000 tactical in the Mil section here.
I'd love to get one of these because it apparently allows the F(S)2000 to keep the existing handguard, yet allows a forward pistol grip (folding) as well as some additional rail space. Certainly appears to be a heck of a lot better than the current tri-rail offering. No idea if it would have fit onto a FS2000, but I can't imagine why not.
I can't get any answers out of FNH, and all my research into it dead ends at the end of 2009. Anyone have any more information on this?

That configuration was never offered to civilians. If you've got some really, really strong ties in military or LE then maybe you could get the hand guard.

They do offer a full tri-rail thing to civvies though, which IMO would be better but I've never used either set up.

Contrary to popular belief, you CAN fix stupid - it's just illegal.

IMO a fore grip on it does a disservice. The hand guard is so perfectly ergonomic and angled just right to get a balance of steadiness and rapid aiming. I'm a bit biased though as I love my FS2000 like its my second child. I'm thinking of getting it a new sister since the tacticals are down so much in price

I think the whale fin sucks. Luckily I was able to find a used monolith porpoise nose to replace it with.
