Hi everyone!
I am new to the forum and this is my first post. I ordered my Ruger 57 today but already purchased a Tandemkross trigger upgrade (red)! I'm hoping my 57 comes in sooner than a month (thanks covid). I've shot the FN 57 before but ordered the Ruger instead.
I know there is not a lot of ammo manufacturing for this round and I've seen a few reliability issues on-line. Is there a "better" ammo brand to run with this gun? 40 grain or 27 for target practicing? I'd assume 27 grain? Also, any other 'pointers' you could give to a new 5.7 owner (not new to handguns).
Thanks,

Re: Newbie - Serpent7
Welcome to the forum.
Ammo, well My ammo Elite Ammunition.
There are issues with the R57, mostly related to it being brand new.
Chamber under spec
Magazines internally under spec causing rounds to jam
Slide rusting NIB and Ruger refusing to do anything about it
Just announced recall due to the safety lever breaking, look like the safety being oin and the safety really is NOT engaged.
