Plate carriers

Post by PainKillaX » 12 Mar 2014, 02:21

For those of you that have owned and used them, what did you like best and why? What features did you look for, and what did you look to avoid?

Looking to pick one up and my only experience has been with my issued vests, and the only one I liked was the newer Eagle Industries Scalable Plate Carrier.

I like the Blackhawk "Strike". I am a big (think large bowling ball) guy and they fit well. Quality is great.

Low profile, light-weight.

The top leaders work pretty well, if you are in the $400-800 price range.
Never attribute to malice that which can be explained by stupidity.
The shooter will always matter more than the gear ever will.
Stop relying on others to do the work for you.
Shoot more, worry less.
