Another dumb question

Post by rustypipes12 » 26 Sep 2021, 14:58

Okay, I was loading 300 Ham'r on my Dillon 550 then when I finished I accidently spilled some CCI sr magnum primers onto my flip tray and they mixed with my BR-4 primers that I was going to use on my single stage Lee to load up 50 5.7 rounds. I'm running low on primers so this really sucked! My question is if I load 7.5gn. AA#7 with 34gn. Dogtown bullets do I need to worry about unsafe pressure spikes? I've never tried small rifle magnum primers for the 5.7 but I know they're not recommended for the 22TCM.

Yes, those mag primers run hotter. You are at the limit for AA#7.
