BARNES BULLETS 22456 .224 36 VARMINT GRENADE
Has anyone had success using BARNES BULLETS 22456 .224 36 VARMINT GRENADE 250. I have Power pistol and blue dot. Thinking 5.2 - 5.6 for PP but no idea on Bluedot.

I did that but only found one post but it looks like old info from an older post from NRAshooter so not sure where the dat came from. I would like to confirm this data is good.

6.4 is at the limit at 70f on a 80 tp 90 degree day it will be over pressure. I would bump it down to 6.0 if you plan on using pistol primers otherwise primer piercing and primer popping out will be an issue. 6.2 small rifle primers but it's going to beat up your brass and you won't get many reloads out of the brass.

Thanks! based on other data I had found, those numbers looked high to me too. I think I will load some in the 5.2 -5.9 range and see how they do.

CAOL is wrong, CIP is 1.590 and with the new style magazines 1.585. Otherwise some bullet ogives will jam into the rib and cause feeding issues.
That article is really old, the data is dated .
