Thanks for the vid. I have had a few popped primers, but I think it was bad seating or something. NEVER had anything remotely close to this and great to have a "3d" representation via vid on this kind of stuff.

This is why I say NEVER start at max. One might assume that the companies writing these loads up would build a safety factor into their loads (~actual max minus .2gr) but never assume. Online, what one person is comfortable with may not be what you are comfortable with. And never let someone talk you out of what you feel safe with.
ALWAYS start low & work up when trying to find the max, advise at least .5gr below 'their' max.

The possible differences in scales alone is worth caution, but also, is your scale calibrated - is theirs?

1st: It's too, not to

2nd: That's some scary <profanity>, probably should have stopped after the first shell came out looking like any one of those.

Those laods where developed without a crimp. When you crimped you changed everything.

For around the house I suggest the Pro1,2or3.

Thanks for the vid Jeff. I take it you didn't work up on your loads to 8.2? Regardless, I liked seeing what to look for in a video and to reaffirm why I always start low and work up on any load, even w/ 45acp. Man when I worked up my 45 grain BEEs over Blue Dot, I stopped when I saw primers getting flat. Call me cautious.
