Interesting. When I listened, it sounded as if the second shot of each cartridge type was quieter that the one preceding it. Artifice of video? My imagination? Other?

no ddouglas, I heard the same thing. if I had to guess, I'd say it was the camera's audio chip, it would sorta re-set to a lower expected dB rating after the 2nd shot of each, due to the pause, and then it would make the 1st sound louder.

Yeah... we'll have to take your word on which was the most silent and which was the loudest, the camera won't record the actual sounds appropriately.

Speaking of which, most decibel meters that I have found aren't rated for gun fire. Are there any cheap - or semi-cheap - ones out there that can handle it?
