PS90 barrel thread options

Post by Kiran04 » 05 Apr 2016, 16:28

The age old question. Both Buffman and Jay are not fans of the HTA shroud. As such, neither am I. I really don't want to SBR my PS90 because $200 + long wait for the BATFE = lame and because I really like my current PS90 set up. I just want to add the suppressor on the end of it and be tacticool. Are there any other options for threading this thing?

Not sure how well reviewed the hi-desert 18.5" barrel is:
https://www.hi-desertdog.com/index.php? ... duct_id=14" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

That's the only other option.

The hi-desert dog barrel is a good one. I had issues with getting it from them, but once I got it I was happy

I will have to give it a try, but not for a while. It's quite a pricey item. Gonna have to set some aside for that project.

At one time those barrels were under $500. See the comment by David June 22, 2014

I found a complete rifle with the 18.5" barrel on Gunbroker:

http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewIt ... =557557279" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

At $1749 plus possible sales tax and 3% credit card fees and S/H and FFL transfer fees, it seems almost affordable.

Not sure how good these are but another option are these threaded shrouds:

FN57
https://fn57sale.com/product/ps90-threaded-shroud/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Huntertownarms
https://huntertownarms.com/ps90.php" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

The Huntertownarms seemed like a good option. I weighed going with this for the same reasons.
