Didn't have time to watch the whole video, but I got to the barrel part that I was interested in and I'm still not sure. Question is, will my threaded EA barrel fit in the new Mk3? I have grey controls. I bought the barrel prior to 2014 I believe. Edit: Looks like I bought it late 2014.

YES the barrel will work perfect. What length do you have?
There is a proper gap issue on the front of the slide cover with the 5.4 inch barrel. It's just a clearance issue. EFK is just reducing the depth of the threads so your barrel device does not come into contact with the slide cover. You could install a spacer of some sort or file down some of the polymer from the slide cover.

I would grind off some of the point sticking out. FYI this is why I kept selling the 6.0 inch barrel after EFK dropped it from their website. It's always a good idea to have some clearance between your slide and your muzzle device if you need to get a tool in there of due to possible clearance issues.

I'm guessing the short one. I don't have photo hosting, but there's about a thumbnail of space between the threads and the cover of my slide.

Yep
imgur is a nice photo hosting site. A bit clunky but it's free and it works.

I have the 5.4 for sure, looks just like the white/grey kryptic pattern gun with the phantom on it.
