Two different style front sights for the MK2 FsN?

Post by Swolefighter » 17 Apr 2015, 20:11

Why do I have two different styles of front sights between my FDE MK2 and my Black MK2? On the FDE the front sight is more pointy like a shark fin and the other is pointy but more flat on the top. Both are definitely MK2 adjustable sight models.

Could be that they changed the design at some point between the two pistols being made. One of your rear sights looks quite a bit higher than the other, what's the difference between them? On your front sights, is it just the blade that's taller, or is the dot also taller? Got a way to measure them?

I don't know why but they definitely changed a couple of things on the MkII. Maybe there was something on the old sight that people had mentioned as a possible improvement?

Did you buy that FDE used?

The FDE has a MK1 Adjustable sight front blade from the looks of it..

Can you snap a pic side by side showing the dot heights?
