Have you named your FsN?

Post by CDeel » 16 Nov 2012, 09:48

This might seem goofy and borderline childish, but I was wondering what people here had named their pistols. I'm sure at least a few have. I'd like to hear them! Mine is named Victorien, I got it on the 8th.

I just hope that nobody has used Vera. That name is taken.

Mine is unofficially named Grim. If anyone gets that reference, I'll know they as big of a nerd as I am. (it's not referring to the Grim Reaper)

I named mine Scarlett, she's always at her best when she's showing a little red. I have a 44 revolver named Bruce, my service pistol is Bell and a ptr91 that all I had a hard time with but just kept coming back to thundergun.

That's exactly it. Sam's handler (I guess that's what you would call her) was called Grim. Since that was the 1st place I had heard of a FsN, and because i have this weird idea that guns should have female names, I felt like it was an appropriate name.

Why would anyone name their nose? Naming toes (little piggies, and all of that) makes sense, but not the nose.

Political tags — such as royalist, communist, democrat, populist, fascist, liberal, conservative,
and so forth — are never basic criteria. The human race divides politically into those who want
people to be controlled and those who have no such desire.

Why would gun owners also do _____.

I just think it's a goofy fun thing to do. I don't think anyone here would actually personify their gun or talk to it. It's just fun to think of a name. My Makarov is named Nikolai. My Monte Carlo is named Captain.

I talk to my gun all the time.

It's time to put it away though when it starts talking back...
