Random 5.7x28mm HD Videos

Post by DmL5 » 23 Nov 2011, 23:04

I did some videos today with EA's Pro II, using my new HD camcorder. I was planning to do the POV muzzle flash videos with several different loads, but my battery was running low (and my fingers were starting to freeze); I'll do more of those later.

I don't have a tripod at the moment, so it was awkward reaching around the camera (which was on its cradle) for the POV video, but I'm still happy with the way it came out. Needless to say, the Pro II muzzle flash is very entertaining (and intimidating). I did experience the magazine pop-up issue when I shot Pro II out of my PS90 USG (I fired 1 round total out of the PS90).

Anyway, when I get the time I'll do some more random Five-seveN/PS90 videos and add them to this thread. I also plan on doing some actual tests before too long.

You guys and 5.7 rounds.

Don't you know that the 5.7 is just an anemic .22 round that blows up water jugs like a 5.56 and has a muzzle flash of a rifle?

Jeez. You guys never learn, do you?

(Great job with the vids, DmL5.)

I love the muzzle flash video. What software did you use to slow it down?

Bumping this because I got the chance to do some more random videos with my PS90. The first video has some POV shooting with the USG black reticle (it wasn't easy to get that video).

Next up, for fun I shot an old CRT monitor and a couple TVs with SS197SR, followed by a cinder block (from a distance of about 75 yards).

For the last video I shot a pumpkin filled with two pounds of Tannerite.

Enjoy...

It's hard to tell in the video but I was about 50 yards back from the pumpkin.

Very nice. One of these days I'll have to pick up a PS90

Some photos with the Viridian X5L (Gen. 2) light/laser and EA Pro II cartridges.

Click to enlarge, and then click a second time (at Imageshack) to go full size...

I hope to do some more HD videos with the EA Pro II in the near future. Any requests? I'll see what I can do.

Be careful that laser can jack up your cameras CCD.

I have never personally seen the fireball out of a FsN of that size :thumb: What ammo were you using?

I let a friend shoot up a cinder block with the PS90 (SS197).
