Re: Thinking of picking up another FN... But which one.

The FNX series of 9 and 40 both are redesigned to follow the design on the FNP 45 .... as well as serrations on the front of the slide, which are conspicuously absent on the 9 and 40 FNP's I thought that too, but this thread: http://fnforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=8086" onclick="window.open(this.h...

Re: Thinking of picking up another FN... But which one.

Biggest change for me was the safety/decocker. Placement and function is like a 1911 (allowing cocked and locked carry) with the addition of also functioning as a decocker.

Re: My new FNP9 pistols

the single action trigger on them feels very smooth. the one thing though that i've noticed on both pistols is that there is a slight "tick" on the first trigger pull. i'm assuming this is normal. i've yet to shoot them. i just got them yesterday. :) i gave them a nice cleaning. hopefully i'll get ...

I have never shot an FNP, but I suspect they are the same too. Definitely reminded me of a USP, not so much a P99, but those have odd triggers :)

Range day with the FNX (sorry no pics)

Well, good news! It does not pinch shooting (see backstrap thread). Trigger is interesting and will take some getting used to. it pivots like a HP but it is flat and does not curve at the end. Apparently I am used to the hook at the bottom and found my finger sliding to the bottom and hitting the bo...

Re: FNP-45 mag problem

FN's offical answer via Bob A. = WWB is longer than SAMMI spec. The solution is to not use WWB. Not quite the answer I wanted, but I will deal I guess... Just have to find a shop that carries Remington or Federal... Umm..I don't want to seem like Mr. Negative here, but does that seem like an accept...

Re: FNX/P backstraps

Ok, have an update, sort of. I got a return call from FN. I guess they were all out at the NRA Show. They should really update their phone message that responses may take a few days. Anyhoo, they did not really see the loose straps as a problem and the rep told me to shoot it and if it was a problem...

More HiPower madness. I really like the duo-tone look of the Colt Combat Elite, and since I have multi-colored HP's........

CompTac and Crossbreed holsters for FNP and FNX

Only slightly related and advantageous to me, I recently got a Crossbreed SuperTuck Deluxe for my M&Ps. The FNX fits in it just fine!

Re: Hello from South of Seattle and a couple of FN's (pic he

Well, it wasn't me -- My father left me the T-series and that original receipt from 1969. So, I am actually not sure what the circled # is either (LOL) but the original price of the Browning HiPower was 104.50! My local shop has a new one almost identical (polished blue, walnut grips) but it was $86...

Re: Hello from South of Seattle and a couple of FN's (pic he

I've been thinking about the NP3 coating for a future firearm, a CZ. Just a thought on that--The teflon impregnation in NP3 which makes it self-lubricating (and simple to clean) also makes it VERY slick to the touch. The CZ narrow top of slide and small cocking serrations may make it a little hard ...

Thanks for the welcome guys! Hope you don't mind if I keep posting a few pics. It's a slow night.... Told the FN rep I wouldn't buy an FNX unless I got a hat (last time I bought the two HP's I got a t-shirt) http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4058/4583494262_72b2d9bb5c.jpg Also got an FN Shooters Pack (...

those are beautiful pieces. What makes them even better is their authenticity. You seem to be the type to both shoot and appreciate the beauty of firearms, something to which we all can relate. I've been thinking about the NP3 coating for a future firearm, a CZ. I definitely agree -- there is somet...

It did, large and small - serrated and checkered. The checkered are super sharp. Which ones did your FNP come with?

CompTac holsters for FNP and FNX

Hi all,
I just picked up my FNX9 yesterday and was suprised that CompTac has not had any requests for holsters (other than mine).

If interested, please drop them a note.

thanks

p.s. this makes a nice addition to my family of FN HiPowers :)
