HP's have a habit of getting the copper heat sink's clogged with dust.
If it is not a model you can easily open, sometimes a can of compressed air will do the job , or a shop vac at the fan/vent area.

The DV2000-6000 HP's were really bad at this

No no, just forgot to mention it, I kept the Match for the .38 and 10mm shooting, which is rare but fun. 38 super is a GREAT round to shoot, way more fun than the 10mm and VERY accurate. I like my 10mm slide, but to be honest I much more prefer my .38 super, hand loaded to perfection.

Blazing speed in a hollow point, easily controlled recoil...it is may favorite to shoot as it is really accurate with even stock loads

I went with the 9mm as it has the mag extension and it was new, but it was a tough choice

Do you prefer poly or alloy for the safety?

I considered it but I ended up getting the 9mm alloy model.
Brand new, never fired with 2 mags.

1911 conversions for the 460 Rolland(sp?) and a couple other bad boy cals can blow 10mm out of the water if you're looking for shear brute force :D Then again, ammo is hard to come by unless you reload.
