Vanguard Outfitters V57 Prime, T6 clone

Lengthy history on this bullet, but I've always wanted to test it. So Velocity, Gel, Armor :)

Re: FNH 5.7 quit ejecting

The FSN has a little primer flow as pictured. His does look a little odd, but the FSN spent primers do not look like say a traditional spent 5.56 case.

Re: Handloads are mid-air tumbling

FNH must have their finger on the magic powder/bullet combo. According to their flier the SB193 is a 62gr fmj. It does not specify if its designed for use in only the PS90 or FSN. I myself seem to have no issues creating stable subs using 55gr fmj bullets. I haven't done very much testing with 62gr...

I was showing another person the types of 5.7 to be on the lookout for (ignore the ELP crap on the page) and I got to page 4 and was like :OOOOOO I bought the last one he had.

R&R Weapon Systems R40.F Velocity, Gel, Armor Test

I think their 37gr expanding is better than the frag round, but YMMV :)

Re: Elite Ammunition T6B Gel Test

Did you have a Misfire ~1.35? Seems like the FPS out of the pistol are Quite a bit slower than Advertised.... Like about 500 FPS lower It is also a little disappointing to see how far it went before creating a wound cavity. And then not fragmenting. Seems like its almost for exclusively for penetra...

Brand new CMMG barrel? What rounds are you firing? What adapter did you use to affix the barrel back into the receiver? Did you remember the spring in the receiver? How tight did you tighten the barrel?

Re: Min Velocity for Reliable Expansion w 40gr VMax?

The issue with 40grain V-max is not expansion. The ballistics tests I've seen have it clocked at 1700 fps. It does not fully expand, but it tumbles like a SOB and still generates more than lethal wound channels. It also makes adequate penetration depths. That's in standard blue box ammo. +1 @ 1700 ...

How many rounds are through your gun, and have you ever given the chamber a good scrub with a 9/40 cal brush with carb (not brake) cleaner?

Re: EA 35gr .223 T6 Bullet Soon!

Is the designation going to be T6? I think people are going to get confused because people think the T6B is still 28gr because of the original designation :D
