In for info. but I would think that it would be a round that would take advantage of the high velocity that the FsN is capable of.

Never tried, but I'd say if it's impacting something, then no . Your toothpick idea sounds good, so long as that doesn't leave any debris. I had a primer get into the trigger group of my AR once, and it would lock the trigger up every now and then, I'd whack it, continue on, and then it would stop....

As long as the holster fits/conforms to the FsN it should work fit. They say it fits blocks & Sigs so it "should" work.
Right!

Is swapping out the spring something I can do myself or should I send the barrel/spring assembly to EA? You can do it yourself, Jay made a video and posted it here somewhere. Alright....now if I go and change to the heavier spring will I still be able to run the FN factory stuff like SS197 and SS198? I've been running the heavier spring for couple of years now. Re: Heavy Duty Recoil Spring?

Same difference with other pistols; force to force relationship. If you are shooting hotter rounds, you want a more robust force acting against the reciprocating mass, especially if you're worried about extra stress on your gun. Ok...of the currently available ammo including ammo from EA, is there ...

Heavy Duty Recoil Spring?

I was reviewing what is involved with the EA accurizing and noticed the recoil spring is replaced with a heavy duty version.

What advantages does the heavy duty recoil spring provide?

Do I want a heavier recoil spring??

Do I need it??

I think I have to have it! :ponder:

I have had some nasty seams in the back strap, I just knock of the edges with a sanding block. I would rather not alter the gun right now. Rubber Grip Sleeve For FsN?

Does anyone else find the grip checkering a bit too aggressive for their hand?

I am looking at several rubber grip sleeves for my 57 but don't know which size to order.

Checked out the Hogue Handall full size and the Butler Creek medium slip-on.

Anyone use either or something else on their grip?

They didn't update the manuals. You have a USG. The label on the case has both the serial number and "IOM ASSY" printed on it. They also used old labels to print the serial number on too? My recently purchased 57 which I thought was a USG model is actually a IOM?? After reading another post concerning this I noticed that the rear adjustable sight on my new to me USG has a slight bit of lateral play to it. I can wiggler the rear of it side to side just a bit (maybe 1/32") but not he front of it. When I move it I see that the elevation screw is also moving a ha...

One of the things I love about my Five Seven is the low maintenance. I pull the barrel out and with a q-tip and carb cleaner, make sure there is no lacquer in the cha...
