I have never swathed any of my primer pockets and reloaded a good amount of 5.7 now, as someone mentioned before the lee shell holder may be a little off, if you look compared to the rcbs and some others it lacks that deeper pocket to slide in the round for the primer. One biggest thing in brass prep is to not damage the coating on the casings, sorry no shiny reload cases here, so it's best to use a sonic cleaner or even just Tupperware use a simple green to water mix I use about a 1:15 mix, to strong and you can damage the casing make sure you rinse it afterwards...

Re: Reloading equipment for 5.7x28mm
Was the data you were using for crimped or uncrimped rounds? Crimping is a huge game changer on 5.7 and I have had no issues with uncrimped rounds I simply don't find that extra added possible inconsistency worth it at all.

Casting bullets for 5.7
I have been reloading my 5.7 for a while now and am beginning to gain interest in casting my own projectiles for it as I think it would be something I would find fun and rewarding but know very little about casting. I have only found one old post on there with some good info but the mold mentioned I...

Honestly your first mistake would be admitting you shot reloaded ammo, integrity is people's way of convincing you to admit something you don't want to.

I use 10 percent or so simple green boiled into water pour the boiling water onto the cases has worked out good and my coating is staying in great shape after many reloads. So you might think about giving that a try

It's not the depriming pin being set to low by any chance is it? My came set pretty far down there, so thought I better ask, look to make sure it's actually bottoming out when you have a shell in and not the depriming pin bottoming out, sorry I'm justifying to maybe help you out a bit.

Re: New Member Introduction
Welcome you made a great choice the five seven is a awesome gun. I will admit the weight takes some getting use to with such a light front end it's so easy to pull the trigger, but the gun is solid and is a nail driver and honestly I think if you can shoot a 5.7 you can shoot about anything.

Sigh I hope you realize when I stated I would rather have a ps90 or p90 I meant for any type of encounter or combat use. I wouldn't just carry a ps90 around town no. But I also wouldn't just carry a fsn into a combat scenario if I had a choice, I would always have a shoulder stabilized firearm. A sh...

Re: PS90 vs. Five-seveN
Accuracy to me isn't just sitting there on a range shooting for bullseyes and taking 10 seconds between shoots. Anything that is shoulder stabilized is going to be much more stable and quicker to put on target for follow up shots. I haven't shot a ps90 ever but I've shot plenty of different weapons....

I have now owned 2 fivesevens and with both I can maybe see the break in period, meaning I had like 1 or 2 malfunctions in the first 500 with ss197 on my first. All gun require break in technically it doesn't mean they won't fire during this period. My take on it is it's kinda like a freshly built n...
