Re: Varmint Nightmare Bullets

Been shooting them in my FiveseveN and my 22 TCM for two plus years now. On a good day both the FiveseveN and the TCM will hold about five inches at fifty yards offhand. Really good stuff. Haven't shot any of them on game - just paper.

I've been waiting for one of these for some time now. Grabbed it up the first second I saw it and it works a treat. No more split skin on those cold mornings at the range!

Re: MKII with Jarvis Barrel Takedown Problem

Skeet! Could it be the take down lever? Make sure that the take down lever has it's full range of motion. Several years ago I got a primer anvil stuck under the lever block. The lever would move only slightly, but enough to make you think it was moving enough. It wasn't. Once I troubleshot the mess ...

Take a look at the Minotaur Spartan by Comp-Tac. Its the Kydex/Leather hybrid that you're looking for, I think. I've been using one for about three years now and I really like it.

Little Crow Gunworks. World's Finest Trimmer. (That's WFT, not WTF!)
Just got mine yesterday. Makes trimming 5.7 brass a breeze. No shell holder required.

Re: Which primer?

Jojo, As odd as this may sound, I'd take a look locally or at least from your major supplier and see what's available through your normal channels. Choose the primer that you can get reliably and work a load up for that. I, like a lot of other shooters, keep a reasonable supply on hand, and I try to...

Re: Anyone loaded the 34gr Dogtown FBHP bullets?

My favorite load in the FiveseveN is:
34 Grain Dogtown (Varmint Nighmare, Etc)
Winchester Small Rifle Primer
7.8 grains Accurate #7
1.500 OAL
This is a medium crimp loading for me. I use a modified Lee crimping die.

This is a hot load, depending on climate - work up carefully!

Re: 5.7 takedown

Take a close look at those pins before you start whaling away with a pin punch! One of the mains is retained by a spring, they are not press-fit. Polymer receivers aren't usually strong enough to hold cross pins in place without "help." Inspect carefully before you disassemble - take pictures if nec...

Re: Failing to chamber round

Just stuff a brass cleaning brush into the chamber. Something in the 35 caliber should work well. Then pull the brush out.
Unfortunately, now you'll have a pissed-off brush with a piece of case stuck on it, but it is a step up...

MGW Slide Covers In Stock.

As of this morning MGW (Midwest Gun Works) had the slide covers for the adjustable sight slides back in stock. Two weeks ago they lasted about two hours and then were sold out. Just a heads up!

I would like nothing better than to experiment on compensator design for the 5.7. A "drop in" or "no fitting required" barrel with about one inch of exposed threading would be nice.

Try seating the bullet just a bit deeper. That should break it loose of what ever is holding it.

You guy are such rookies! You've got to be at least fifty years young to have seen some of the real "classics." I'm a fan of really BAD movies, and here are just a few that some of you may remember: The Conqueror (John Wayne) The Green Slime (Richard Jaekel, Robert Horton) Galaxy Of Terror (Several ...
