"All NFA weapons made by individuals require that the weapon be legal in the State or municipality where the individual lives, and the payment of a $200 “making tax” prior to manufacture of the weapon, although a subsequent transfer of AOWs after they are legally “made” is only $5. Re: Important question from a new member

Question: At my gun club, I have the opportunity to participate in 2-gun and 3-gun matches. I have asked a few people if I could use a 5.7, and I am usually told to ask the Match Director. Do any of you guys (or ladies) use a 5.7x28 in these type of matches. If you do, do you use the pistol or the r...

A Marine squad was marching north of Fallujah when they came upon an Iraqi terrorist who was badly injured and unconscious. On the opposite side of the road was an American Marine in a similar but less serious state. The Marine was conscious and alert and as first aid was given to both men, the squa...

Re: New Addition

At our gun club, almost anyone will allow you to try their weapon out.
And, if you want to shoot a match but lack one or more of the guns to do so, someone will lend you the gun to shoot the match.

Jails and Nursing Homes Here's the way it should be: Let's put the seniors in jail and the criminals in nursing homes. This would correct two things in one motion: Seniors would have access to showers, hobbies and walks. They would receive unlimited free prescriptions, dental and medical treatment,...

“It’s a very troubling trend where officers are being put at greater risk than ever before,” said Craig W. Floyd, the group’s chairman. “Many of these criminals are outgunning our police officers. We’re seeing criminals with high-velocity clips on their guns.” "That one may be attributed to : , Cra...

Re: Fiveseven forum patch

I am just getting caught up on reading the forum messages. If this patch thingy is still alive, I would buy three patches assuming that they are something less than $15 ea. I don't know what I would do with more than three patches.

Oh man, that Dan Wesson is some kind of nice looking. I recently bought two Kimber 1911's, and went with Blackhawk SERPA holster. It comes with both the belt and paddle.

What's that? No, it's not a rabbit, that is just Wesson envy.

Thanks everyone for the Birthday wishes, and welcome. I know the old saying that an armed society is a polite society, but gosh, everyone seems to be friendly too... both here and on the range. One old geezer lent me an NRA book, and then took me to the range to get my pistol shooting corrected. Pis...

I think I like my new neighbour already. You from Texas, sir? Just give me a holler, y'hear. I lived in Houston for a bit & my great-granddaddy and his brother served the Confederacy in Texas. There is some family rumor that one of them was a Texas Ranger, but I've never seen proof of that. I have ...

I turn 60 in a few minutes, its 11:20 pm here. I had a kidney transplant two years ago, so I look at life a little differently after four years of dialysis, and some real problems staying alive after the transplant. Everything is all more better now. I gave my life to God, and some of my spare time ...

I am surprised no one has said a shotgun yet! Wow, that would be the first thing I grab, after the wife and dog that is. And, I too would stay to defend my home and castle, ha! Re: What's your go to weapon?

I literally have my wife's new FiveSeven beside my feet, waiting on a cleaning before shooting this weekend (I hope). If a BG came through the door, I could hit him with the case, as I am still waiting my order of ammo to show up. This reminds me that I need to take pictures, and record s/n. Happy T...
