Re: Dillon 650 reloading

I'll throw my hat in the ring for a shellplate as well.

Just got a 650 and would rather not keep the 550B around just to resize and prime 5.7 brass.

Re: Suppressor POI Shift PS90 SBR

I too noticed a significant drop in POI when I attached my re-cored SFN-57 to my SBR'd PS90. While the re-core job only added a few ounces to the can, I think the fact that the barrel is not totally locked down onto the frame allows it to drop a substantial amount compared to other rifles when a sup...

Re: Trimming options

I have the trim pro 1 and the 3 way cutting head with a 1/2 drill attached. It works well but it's slower. The EZ trim is surprisingly fast and leaves a nice finish cut. The EZ trim is a little hard on the fingers after a couple hundred rounds but I think a good leather glove would solve that. The ...

Re: Trimming options

The size of the 5.7 case makes me like the Trim Pro 2. I use my Girraud for 300BO and when doing the first cut after rough cutting and forming 300BO from .223 is tough on the hands holding those short cases.

I imagine the 5.7 would have the same issues with the WFT or EZ Trim It.

Re: Trimming options

I ordered one of these trimmers and dies (two come with it) for 5.56, 308, and 300BLK. I contacted Troy at their shop and they made a 5.7 die for me for about 30 bucks. Works really well. He did say he would have to have them made to order as they are not a regular stock item (yet). http://www.eztr...

Re: Trimming options

One of the comments on the midway page I needed a way to hold 5.7x28mm cases. this product is a very fast way to change cases and works with all the calibers that I reload up to .45 ACP. This is one of best upgrades from RCBS. So I would say that it does work with the 5.7x28 Awesome, hadn't read ev...

Re: Trimming options

I use the RCBS Trim Pro 2 with their .22 cal 3 way cutter. It does the trimming, chamfering and deburring all at one time. I do not have the powered version of the trim pro, so it is still done by hand, but at least it is all done at one time. 200-300 at a time is not too bad. Does the spring loade...

Trimming options

I've been reloading 5.7 for almost a year now and have finally built up a large enough stockpile of brass to do batches of 200-300rds at a go. When I was doing load development in batches not exceeding 100rds trimming, chamfering and deburring with the Lee Zip-Trim and chamfer/deburr hand tool wasn'...

Re: SS190 ballistics from PS90

Sorry the 190 is pretty much nothing more then a 195 bullet with a small steal penetrator dropped into the hollow front cavity before the the tip is pinched closed. I have sectioned them and have pics somewhere I will look for them. That would be cool to see. In fact, any sectioned rounds you've ph...

Re: Can't access via wifi, but can from the cell network???

The power cycle night before last did nothing, but whatever the host did fixed it right up. Able to access via wifi on Comcast Internet now.

Thanks for all the help

Re: Can't access via wifi, but can from the cell network???

You're not banned or blocked. We just found out that another member is having problems with signing on & has been all week, how long has yours been screwed up? Advice to the other guy (we don't know if he's tried it yet) was to clear his cookies & try to sign on again. I'm curios if the two of you ...

Can't access via wifi, but can from the cell network???

Not sure if this is a forum issue or something goofy with my internet connection, but for some reason I can't get on the forum by way of a computer, iPad or iPhone on my wifi network. I'm accessing it via 3G right now without issue. Any idea what the issue could be? Was my IP blocked for some reason...

Re: American Eagle brass as good as FNH?

Thanks for the rundown on the AE brass bein the same as the 197. Haven't actually put my hands on any of the AE ammo.

Thanks

American Eagle brass as good as FNH?

Haven't needed additional brass, but I'm slowly chewing through my stash and need to stock up on some once fired. Is the American Eagle brand brass as good as the FN brass we get with SS197? I tried the tactical search but couldn't find a topic covering a side by side comparison of the brass from a ...

Price point for a professionally removed PS90 barrel?

I've had a High Desert Dog 10.3" barrel in my SBR'd PS90 for 4 years now and figured I may as well sell the factory, full length barrel since I honestly can't see myself doing anything with it. Having said that, what's a fair asking price for the barrel and shroud? The barrel has less than 200rds of...

Yep, that's it. Anyone have another fix? Figure I'll ask and see if any other solutions were found besides the zip tie trick.

Thanks

Case kicker for a 550B?

Finally got my desired load tweaked and I'm ready to roll into large batch production so I picked up the EA 550B shell plate and locator buttons. Only problem is the cases like to hang up in the fourth station where the case kicker is located and it slows the whole process down. Stopping to back up ...

Re: Five-seveN threaded barrel

Indeed. I asked about EFK over on silencertalk when I was lookig for a threaded P226 barrel and was made aware of the issues. Guess they are cheaper for a reason.

Go to silencertalk.com and search for "EFK" and you'll get more than one. I have no personal experience with them, I just know that tornado tech was fast and accurate. Best of luck to you.

Re: Five-seveN threaded barrel

Over on Silencertalk there are folks who have had terrible experiences the EFK. I've never dealt with them, but my factory barrel threaded by Tornado Tech with a Gemtec SFN-57 ran like a champ today:)
