EFK Firedragon Conversion for FNP-40

Post by idiq » 19 Aug 2009, 04:41

I was looking through some pages on GB and came across a barrel conversion kit for the FNP-40, bringing it to a 9mm. Although I know it would probably be better to simply get a 9mm instead of converting from a .40, I was curious if anyone has had experience with the EFK kits and their quality.

Looks like a lot of people have fitment issues, particularly the Glock folk. Solutions ranged from some deburring with a file to having them machined down a few .001s. That seems to be the most common issue with them as far as I can tell. A few have had breakages, but doesn't seem like too large a number, although any kind of percentage where something as integral and potentially dangerous as this breaks is shady in my book.

A quick perusal of xdtalk and glocktalk found several threads about them.

Seems they're all over the FS section of glock talk... perhaps an omen? :ponder:
