S and K gun stocks.

I wanted the extra fancy, but could only justify "A" grade.

I have several. For a while my wife thought it was just one, with a lot of different options that I kept swapping out. :)

Yeah, I need to rethink my 'Justin' character and add it back to the 'Gun Show' post. All I can remember from it is, his nails are chewed into the quick from fear someone else will think of a way to build up a 10/22 before he does and he can dye your cat any color of the rainbow using nothing but a used toilet and Rit dye.

I still can't believe Rit dye did that. That just blows my mind.

So justin, if i wanted an aftermarket bolt and entire group, what should i buy? Looking for high quality but don't wanna spend a huge pile of cash on it either.

Also i know a 1:9 twist is highly recommended for 60gr, will 38-40gr stuff shoot ok in the 1:9 too or would that barrel be strictly 60gr only?

Send your stock bolt to Randy at CPC, he does great work. :thumb:

http://community-2.webtv.net/RandyAtCPC ... oltRework/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Rimfire technologies makes some nice bolts, but not better or cheaper than randy reworks your original.

My red GM Aero barrel is 1:15 and my GM match sporter is 1:16, same for the blue tac sol.

I normally shoot Wolf MT and CCI minimags.

Those are purdy! I saw a cool 10/22 at the local Sportsman's Warehouse a few weeks ago that was manufactured by Magnum Research. It was a .17 caliber. Man was it pretty, but it was also 750 bucks without a scope. It was gone quick (wasn't me this time).

I have a 10/22 Target model that I bought maybe 10 years ago. It has a wide laminated stock and a stainless steel hammer forged bull barrel. I put a 2-7 power Leupold on it. It shot like crap when I first got it. I narrowed the problem down to the trigger and replaced it with a Volquartsen trigger group. Much better now.

Those little 10/22s are a lot of fun.

I thought 10/22 was a model number, and only applied to Ruger-manufactured .22 caliber rifles?

Ok, how about 10/22 styled rifles.

Yeah, I was just about to type a retraction - I realized after you mentioned converting yours that it meant a .17 conversion by Magnum Research. Sorry about that - wasn't trying to nitpick.

I am going to do my own conversion, with a new barrel and some other parts. Will probably get a VQ barrel.

The .17 I saw had a Ruger branded clip in the bottom, but the receiver was stamped Magnum Research. It had a futuristic looking stock much like one in the OPs pics. I still call it a 10/22 because it was a variant.

You can use 17mach2 with standard .22lr mags. Same for 17HMR and 22mag.

Nwatson99, that is the same one I have. Mine has a Volquartsen trigger group though. My scope is smaller. I only have a Leupold 2-7 on mine. They are fun little rifles.
