I'm not sure about this one.
Self Defense?
Invitation to disaster?
I just can't wrap my mind around anyone wanting to consider this.

Re: Interesting idea?
That may be the most moronic thing I have seen all year.
The year is young though...

Re: Interesting idea?
Talk about a false sense of security... :skep:
Can you imagine being in the court room during the inevitable lawsuit, "Your fake product didn't protect me! The testimonials on your website are just as fake as your product!"
I'd be laughing my tail off if I weren't so disgusted by their real life belief in make-believe items.

The only man that can use this successfully is chuck norris because he could beat the bad guy over the head with it and the attach it to his foot and finish him with a spining back kick :lmao:

From the website:
I've asked a few Marines about this & they are all like 'WTF? That's stupid.' Of course, I had to paraphrase & clean up the language :laugh:PCD was founded in 2014 by a U.S. Marine Corps veteran who served multiple combat tours to Iraq, and other places throughout the world

This is beyond stupid, if it's real. He's also opening the door to get b*tch stomped by Fobus, since he's using a replica of their holsters (assuming the pics are of the real thing).
Still, I think it's a joke.

Re: Interesting idea?
From the website:
This is absurd. If I'm understanding it, the idea it to open carry in the hopes that a threat will avoid you for easier prey. I think we'd all mostly agree though that in an active shooter situation you'd be making yourself a higher priority target. Maybe it will work for an unarmed hoodlum on the street but if somebody wants you, the Tueller Drill shows that even people that train with their weapon are at a disadvantage in that situation. Add to that that in the event someone confronts you, you can't draw your fake to try to scare them off, you've got all kinds of fail.
Oh, and if a LEO asks you to remove it for whatever reason you'll have to explain while your try to wrestle the damn thing out of/off your pants, since you'd have to remove the entire unit. I had a sergeant who was pulled over and notified the officer he had a CCW permit and weapon on him, and the officer asked him to remove it with two fingers and I'm sure watched him just a bit closer. Try taking this off without making the officer nervous.
I keep trying to find SOME merit to this idea and I just can't.
Threat = capability+intentSafe one piece construction, device does not come out of holster

This product is 100% about creating a false sense of safety for the user. These devices are for those who wish to feel protected but do not want the hassle of owning an actual firearm
Want to wear in a parking lot and stow away in purse once you've reached your destination and not fear a discharge?
Give your unarmed security staff a more authoritative presence
Shop owners concerned about robbery
Know someone who could benefit from carrying a handgun, but aren't safety conscious?
Don't want to be approached by a criminal element?

The thing that really pisses me off about this is that I did not think of it first.

Re: Interesting idea?
Hi Everyone....
It has been a while.....still fighting a battle with ISP in the courts....and will be for a while....in the interim....have a very fancy KWC Glock 19 Airsoft and a SCAR 17 Airsoft. Had open heart surgery in November...back to work 8 days later and life is great....
As for the toy in this thread....the idea they missed was to get a couple of funeral homes around the state to pay for the right to offer discount coupons in the box with this monstrosity....that way...the owner pulls it....gets popped and the family needs to arrange a funeral. At least someone profits from stupidity.

Re: Interesting idea?
I donno, maybe Macgyver could turn it into a real gun if he had some used chewing gum, a stapler, and 3 packets of ketchup (or something similar).bruteandbear1 wrote:The only man that can use this successfully is chuck norris because he could beat the bad guy over the head with it and the attach it to his foot and finish him with a spining back kick :lmao:

Re: Interesting idea?
Mac only used a gun (as it's intended) in the pilot episode, he'd probably turn it into something else.
