Molon Labe Industries, a Tampa Bay area company, will soon be releasing a new polymer SCAR magazine.

Cue raucous celebrating and pelvic thrusts from SCAR lovers.

The magazines will fit all models of the SCAR 17 (SCAR Heavy/7.62) and will be available initially in 20-round capacity. The run will eventually expand to 10-round and 25-round magazines, and all will be available in black, tan, OD and a darker brown variation.

Are the metal lowers out yet that let you use standard AR-10 mags?

A few months ago Molina said they were going to price these very competativley. Right around the price of the stock mags. Now they just (within the past few weeks) released the price and it was like $80 a piece. No thanks....

The stryker industries lower is not out yet. All he has posted is the solidworks image and a plastic 3d printed image.

Molon has not yet set a price on their SCAR magazines according to information posted on another forum from someone within Molon. No official word yet on their pricing, but they (Molon) stated that information will be available in December 2012.

They're listed at $69 a pop on their site:

Now being sold for $69, even though they announced the price would be substantially lower. Also, no clear photos or any sort of good videos posted showing them being used. Many of us are holding off to see if they actually deliver what they promise and still trying to figure out why we should be interested in $69 pieces of plastic. For a few of these, you could just get a different lower and use the much more well proven MAGPUL mags, and less expensive.

Oh crap. Amsdorf has now come here. Be prepared folks. Be prepared. He's 2 posts as of 12:02PM 28 Dec 2012. He'll have 100 by 5 January 2013.

What is important is that while Amsdorf has said "many of us are holding off" please be aware that many more have already purchased MLI magazines for their SCAR. Don't let Amsdorf and his videos scare you.

Looks like a nice product.

Seriously hard work bringing to market a product like a magazine when your not already a large magazine manufacturer. Even then the big guys make some real crap, pro mag mini 14 magazines are a prime example.

Profit margins for small company are insanely tight before getting into all the capital need to start from scratch.

Since I have been and am still going through what Molon Labe Industries is going through I would have to give them the benefit of the doubt on this one. Even more since they do not have a preexisting track record say like botach.

I don't own a SCAR17 so I ordered one of their Cool T-shirts.
