FNX 45 Compact

Post by smpsmp » 19 Mar 2012, 19:34

Has anyone else taken notice to this? I just saw this tonight, and FN doesn't have a pic up yet. Says 3.875 inch barrel, and either 15, 12, or 10 round mags. Assuming 15 are going to be extended, 12 flush fit, and 10 cali mags.

Apparently they are doing compact's for the FNS series as well. I'm tempted to see how short they make the frames. If it's going to be midsize (like a glock 19/23) then I'll be tempted, otherwise just shortening the frame to only 2 fingers but still being fat isn't for me.

wow! didn't think I would ever be so much interested in another .45 acp since getting the FNP. I would rather have a compact FNX 9 but if they can make this small enough it might could make the list.

I was under the assumption there was a longer version of the FNS coming out, also.

Looking to sell my Glock 30 and purchase an FNX-45 or compact but cannot find it anywhere. Is the difference between the FNP and FNX earth stopping?

EDIT:

Found a local shop with an FNP-45, felt great in the hands..... One very nice pistol!!!!!!!

FNS compact 6.7" length, 12 round magazine. OMB is already taking orders for LEO.

FNS competition 5" long slide on existing frame. release early next year. maybe sooner.

There is no way you could fit a 12 round flush mag in a frame that's only big enough for 2 fingers.

Glock does 10 in the G26, and 17 in the G17. The frame is basically the same size on the FNX/FNS as the 17, and holds 19. I certainly hope it isn't some super chopped short frame. I always wish for just a little more on the frame, but understand the reason behind it.

O that's right, I was thinking of the FNS compact. It was late. Although it says the same for the FNS too. Who the hell knows anymore.
