CZ 75B Question

Post by 57js » 08 Oct 2011, 07:27

I just received my CZ 75B yesterday, and decided to break it down to clean it before dry-firing and breaking the gun in. Taking the slide off is no where near as easy as the FsN. I followed the instructions by using the magazine to push out the part keeping the gun together, but it took me a few minutes to get it out. Don't know because it is because the gun is new or I wasn't doing it right. Does anyone have any suggestions on an easy way of getting that part out other than using a magazine that won't damage the gun?

Thanks.

I had the same problem with my witness match. It get's easier the more you shoot it, but I still can't get it with my fiingers after a couple thousand rounds. I use the nice, flat side of my knife to push it out now.

Cock the hammer before you move the slide into take position.

I cock the hammer to the safety position. Do you mean fully cock it?

How many rounds did it take for it to get to the point where a good push is all you need? You just push it with your fingers now, and it comes out? That would be nice.

I also had a hard time putting the slide back on. Took me a few minutes to figure out what I was doing wrong.

I was probably around 2k for that but I will put a few hundred at a time so it was only a few range sessions in. I can't shoot it enough. Yeah I can push it out with just my thumb, but I still use the baseplate on my mag just to make it easier.

Mine is pretty tough as well, I usually use something plastic to push it out enough to pull it out the rest of the way with my fingers. It is getting a bit more loose now though, and I can push it out, but it is till pretty tough.
