Cut on Holster
Cut on Holster
With the grip on my FN being so sharp I'm not sure about the combat cut. I have the combat cut for my glock 27, but it's grip is a lot softer. Help please.

What is a combat cut
Never attribute to malice that which can be explained by stupidity.

Re: Cut on Holster
I asked because different holster mfg. does different cuts for the "combat" cut.
One thing might not mean the same for another. He didn't post the name or the mfg or a picture or a link to his holster, which was exactly what I was getting at.

Read what I said above.
I still have no clue what holster he is talking about.
For your info, combat cut can also refer to cut in the holster itself, or in the part contacting the body. I was just trying to get more info on my reply post so I could actually help him. Apparently that was too much to ask.

Re: Cut on Holster
Blue, I maybe wrong, but I think you're referring to "speed cut" where there is less holster coverage along the top of the slide on the holster. Whereas "combat cut" refers to less coverage on the holster backing (like Crossbreed holsters) to allow a more substantial area to grip the pistol w/o interference from the holster backing.

Re: Cut on Holster
I've heard of combat cuts on holsters in which they are more built up in certain areas instead of a lower profile. I've also heard of combat cuts that have different profiles than regular cuts. I am aware of speed cuts. I use one for competition.

I saw it Blue, I had to say it. I was just a little late on it. It was a once in a lifetime opportunity. And yea to be honest I don't know what holster he's talking about either.
