Sig P556 question?

I recently ordered a sig P556 off gunbroker and am in the process of having it transferred to Maryland (my home state).

The question I have is, after purchasing the handgun (yes it is a 556 handgun) I realized I needed an integrated safety device, which MD law states must be purchased along with any handgun from a FFL; does anyone know of any integrated safety locks for this particular firearm?

It would be very painful if I couldn't pick up the handgun I purchased because of a stupid lock...

Can you provide more details on this device? Is it like the Taurus look system?

The Law I am trying to abide by: All hanguns manufactured after December 31st, 2002 that are sold, rented, or transferred in Maryland must have an "integrated mechanical safety device"

I simply cannot find an internal lock for the Sig P556 (I thought it would be much easier, or I wouldn't have bought the firearm), so I will be unable to pick it up from my FFL until I have one. :facepalm:

Well I think I may have found the solution.

I found this company omega locks which makes internal chamber locks for various calibers:

I am going to purchase the .223 lock and hope for the best.

I will let everyone know if it works, so if anyone else lives in this communist State that is Maryland, they can be sure to abide by all laws.

Yeah stupid but not nearly as stupid as California gun laws. Had i not been moving from FL to CA, i couldnt purchase a two-tone FiveSeven. The only gun on their allowed roster is the all black USG model. The ODG and FDE colors are banned. Same goes for two-tone XDs. Its driven by the fact that someone(usually the company or a private organization) has to pay a fee for each model it wants allowed on the CA roster, and that fee must be paid annually. That is greed to the fullest extent. Why cant every state have TX gun laws...wouldn't want to live there but damn they sure empower the rights of their citizens.

"Integrated mechancial Safety Device" doesn't sound anything like "lock" to me. In fact, legally, it DOESN'T mean a lock, I just asked to a lawyer, who lives next door to me.

Sounds more like they just want the gun to have a safety on it.

Whatever, I dont plan on living in the Socialist Republic of Maryland anytime soon. Good luck with the 'deivce'.
