I have been looking at 9mm hosts to compliment my G19. I want a SA/DA gun with tall night sights. Besides getting a Sig 226, buying a threaded barrel for US threads, and adding tall night sights, I cant think of anything else I would want. Then I keep thinking, I love shooting my buddy's FNP-45T, why doesn't FN make a 9mm version? It would be cheaper than the Sig route since I wouldnt have to buy parts that dont work. Please hear my cries FN.

Get a SIG 226 Elite Dark TB, then you don't have to buy the parts separate, still pricey though. MSRP: 1,289.00

O hell I forgot about that, what about going with the Elite Dark and sending the barrel to get it threaded? I know that is going to be more then buying the TB model (1218.00 + Cost of Threading). I take it you already have a 9mm can since you want threads in inches? Sending the barrel to get it threaded would be less than buying a new barrel, and the Elite Dark already has the high night sights, so this might be one of a few limited options. And that $1218 is MSRP, I wouldn't be surprised if you could find one in a local shop cheaper.

I can get one through sig's military purchase program for under 1k. But then paying, and more importantly waiting, to get the barrel threaded is a pita. Guess I will just bide my time waiting for FN to make one for me.
