Just picked up my Tactical!

Post by Young Guns » 22 Apr 2011, 12:05

Well, I thought about it and thought about it and couldn't decide between the FDE and the black. I had never seen the FDE in person and i took a change with it. I got it today and saw it for the first time...HELL YEAH!! FDE is WAY better in person than in the pics! I'm so glad I went with that instead of black. Anyway, here are some pics....

Very nice!

I held one at a gun show last weekend and I was surprised how well it fit in my hand, as many people described it as a large, bulky gun, but it was more comortable than I had expected.

Thanks everyone! Now it's time for a Trijicon RMR and then Osprey suppressor!

If I hadn't have just bought this, murphies, I would have JUMPED ALL OVER your PS90. That was a great price and I have wanted one forever.

Outstanding, great looking pistol, and the case is also something to look into in the near future. :thumb:

Pretty sure in a thread elsewhere we tracked down the case, it just doesn't have the FN logo.

Cool, I didn't know that. I wouldn't mind having a few more for other firearms if that's the case.

I thought so too; Eagle was the first site I checked. Didn't look right, checked Google, and if you look at the Blackhawk one I'm pretty sure that's it.

Bones-

go to blackhawk, they have a case very similar (if not the same) called a SOCOM gun case. I got one (in black) for my glock 40 (too bad the FN 5.7 won't fit without making crazy mods :ponder: )

Cheers!

My HK USP Tactical came with the same type of bag, but it was grey.

I'm so tempted to get one of these.

Funny how the "lock" pouch looks perfect for a suppressor....

it actually is a suppressor pouch, but holds the lock until the day it's ready for it's true calling!

Ah, the .45ACP is a great suppressed setup. Big heavy bullet going slow/subsonic.

And that pistol is one of a few I'd get in .45ACP, as I don't like being limited to a few rounds, and I have big hands, so the size of this pistol to fit the 15 round magazine is fine with me.

The color combo is excellent as well as the metal parts being stainless.

What is the best suppressor for the .45ACP? I would like to get one that I could also use on my 9mm with the right barrel.

I read that the 9mm versions can be used on .223/.22LR and the 5.7 rounds with good results.

Anyone tried using a .45ACP suppressor on smaller caliber weapons? I think it would compromise some of the effect, but if it's not too much, that would make buying one suppressor much more cost effective for me.

Silencer Co Osprey or ACC TiRant are the best 45 suppressors out right now with the edge going to the new TiRant so you can take it apart.

Young, the FN TAC has the lowest .45 recoil out of any handgun platform I've ever fired.

It will eat custom 1911's for breakfast. Don't shoot it next to the rich cocky guy or you'll make him cry.

I emptied a magazine accurately in ~1/2 the time it would take for a 1911 to do the same.

The case that comes with it is an Eagle Industries Case, but they don't sell it separate. Blackhawk makes the same set up in their SOCOM case. Only comes in black though, not tan.
