shotgun i just finished restoring

A guy i worked with had this stevens shotgun that was his granddads, but it was in his house when it burned down so it was all messed up the wood was all soot damaged, and the reciever and barrel had rust all over em from them puttin the fire out and gettin water on it. well i wanted somethin to do with my grandfather who was a gunsmith till he got burned out with doin it, so i told the guy id take it and see what i could do with it. i took it over my grandpops and he showed me what to do and i have to say for my first one i am extremly happy with the way it turned out. my granddad walked me through it and i did all the work except for blueing the barrel i had to send that out to the local gunsmith. i wish i had some before pics to show how messed up it was but here are some after pics.

its the original furniture. after hours of sanding and varnishing it came up and looked beautiful. my grandpop wanted me to checker it but i dont have the practice in for that yet and i dont know if i ever will.

I've got one that I'm in the process of restoring for a buddy, the rust damage is so bad that I'm doubting it'll ever be safe to fire again. Very Very nice work on that shotgun!
