FS2000 Nue-Trigger Review with Range Report

Post by benelliwang » 24 Jul 2010, 20:45

So DRCoffe, a member here made a Nue-Trigger for the MSAR rifles. It looked really promising with great reviews so I volunteer my FS2000 to be a beta tester, you can see the info on page 3 of the "FS 2000 Trigger Pull" topic in this forum:
http://fivesevenforum.com/viewtopic.php ... 7&start=40" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Here is my review:

Install: Piece of cake, took me less than two minutes to install.

Trigger Weight:
Before: 5.75 Kg (12 lbs.)
After: 4.5 Kg (9.5 - 10 lbs)

Trigger Feel:
Before: The trigger had a long travel and had a very rough gritty feel to it. By the end of the travel, your finger is fatigued and it feels like a 12 lbs trigger. I thought the bad trigger was the worst feature of the FS2000. Compared to the FS2000, my PS90 is much better.
After: What a difference! The trigger feels incredibly smooth like it’s skating on ice. The long travel is still there but it is buttery smooth. Before the Neu-Trigger, I used to love the PS90 trigger. Now it makes the PS90 trigger feel like crap.'

Range Report:
I ran 120 rounds through it today. The trigger ran smooth as can be without any issues. The trigger group did not hang, double, or had any kind of malfunction. The trigger now is so smooth and light that I can hit a steel gong at 100 yards consistently. I was using a C-More red dot sight. This is a great product, now I am trying to convince DRCoffee to make one for PS90. :)

Great review.

I was aware of Dr Coffee and his contribution, glad you posted it on this forum.

I wish now I had held on to my FS2000. The trigger was the only reason I got rid of her.

Yea ditto on that. Gunbroker didn't pop any hits at first, by reading the other post you linked, I figured out it was Neu, not Nue you need to search for on GB. I'm definitely going to check what trigger pack I have when I get home. This may make me change my mind about selling the FS2K.

Neu trigger is ordered, and DrCoffe says he can get it to me in time for the forum shoot. Good thing I brought plenty of ammo!

Full range report forthcoming once I get to test it out.

Sweet! Do me a favor though? Let some others to shoot it? I'd appreciate hearing opinions from several people. I know Fuzzy shot mine last year & he hated the trigger on it. Maybe this will make it keepable?

Done and done. Someone with better eyes than me can test its accuracy, I can never seem to fire JUST 3 or 5 rounds on a target before retrieving it, as it's way too much fun.

Yea sorry I have been kind of neglecting on the range report. It completely gets rid of the gritty feeling, almost to the point that it might be possible to bump fire. I was actually tempted to sell it before I got it, but now the FS2000 is a keeper in my books.
