Equal opportunity offender! USP is my current carry along with a Ruger LCR. Kimber is on nightstand
duty. The Springfield is a trade I decided to keep, think its like one of 1500?? Sig is for sale but had
to take it and its is SUPRISINGLY accurate.

Yeah, the GSRs are very accurate. I just don't like the look of them. They shoot as well as any standard Kimber. No match for Custom Shops, but still very accurate. Sig makes a fine product no matter what.

Except for Mosquitos. They've got to be the worst .22's I've ever shot. I've shot and broken in 2 brand new ones and used ones and they're really really bad... beyond horrible. The first was the night sights version, last year. The 2nd was just this month, a pink version that a mom had bought new. The incredible part is that they're the most overpriced .22's on the market.

Don't get me wrong, I don't dislike Sigs. Their P220 Sport is fun to shoot. AFAIK they don't import these anymore, and they go for quite a penny.



But I had the most fun with this one.



The Sig P210. These are every collector's nightmare. $3-5k; my friend actually traveled to Switzerland twice in order to get his perfect one. Best production trigger out of any Sig and most likely ever.

I traded my spare FsN to glock10mmman to get this one. The very first shot I fired was something right out of hollywood. Head shot - dead center. Yup, it works The rest of the mag wasn't as perfect but would've been very bad for anything/one other than a paper target

I absolutely love the night defender, shoots great. I was going to use it as my new carry gun but I just could not handle the thoughts of it getting scratched and banged up. Being a limited run made it even harder. So I continue to use my XD sub compact or Keltec PF9 most days. Gonna buy an LCR in the next week or so.

The P238 shoots awesome and conceals very well. She is very small framed at 5'7" and 120 so she needed something very small!

From what era are those two Eclipse Target II's?

Both of your guns have 6 front serrations and 9 on the rear. All Kimbers listed on their site, and my kimber pictured above have 5 and 8 respectively. Both are the same gun mechanically, just different finishes and sights.

Jay, why is it some Kimbers have "custom shop" by the Kimber, but some don't? I thought Kimbers were all from the custom shop? Is there something that differentiates it?

Not sure what era my Eclipse II is from. If I remember correctly I purchased it new in 2000/2001. It has always been one of the best shooting and most accurate .45's I have shot and like us all, I have shot many. I shot it in USPSA back then and it was far more accurate than many others at the time. The new ones are probably even nicer/better now coming from Kimber.

That Raptor looks nice. I love the SuperAmerica 1911! Just found one on line for $2700. Looks like I better start saving! It just jumped several guns at the top of my "must have" list. I heard a saying a long time ago - The only difference between men and boys are the price of their toys. Sometimes I miss being a boy, it was much cheaper!!

All Kimbers have hand fitting. Beyond that they have their Custom Shop guns where one person builds the gun from beginning to end. They do one hell of a job.

My Eclipse was only made in the Custom Shop when I bought it. It was the first one to hit the master distributor and I was checking it in. It never made it to the gun case. If you notice it is Actually called a
"Pro Eclipse II".





It was so popular Kimber made it a catalog item but re-named it
"Eclipse Pro II"

On a side note people think EA can be slow. Back in 1991 I dropped off my Colt 45 and waited 2 years to get it back from customizing. No CNC caspian frames sitting around like now.

I had new sights made for my Servicemaster, so it might as well be a new gun to me. It is amazing what a difference sights make.


Gunsmith made the red front sight larger fiber than the green rear sights, so lined up, they look the same size. I love the sight picture.
